We are a family of 3 (mom, dad, and bebe) and have a house in downtown Jersey City. We speak English, Japanese and Bulgarian and little Spanish. I know our place is priced lower than it's value, but we decided to use it to serve other people until our bebe grows up. We like helping travelers from all over the world and always enjoy accommodating them. Our guests get entire first floor (one big room with alcove) which has own bathroom (hand held shower with deep bathtub) and kitchenette (sink, microwave, and fridge). It is totally private and you don't have to share anything with us. But we live right above you, so if you need help, we will be right there. We have two beds (queen and full size) and can accommodate 4 people easily, and if you don't mind sleeping on air mattress, we can accommodate up to 6! We charge additional $10/ guest of 3 years and older.
Our house is located in 12min walk on lively street from Grove St. PATH station. You can find nice restaurants and supermarket on the way. It is also close to Newport shopping mall and Hamilton Park. L'appartamento è spazioso, pulito e davvero tranquillo.
The room was excellent, easily fitting the four of us (in two beds). The bathroom and Wifi provided were also very nice. The bathroom had some leftover toilet articles from previous occupants which was very helpful as one of our suitcases was lost. The neighbourhood is a friendly one, and it's obvious the neighbourhood is a safe and friendly one. It is only a 10 minute walk to the Path train, which provides direct access to WTC in only 20 minutes (at only US$ 2.75).
Yukiko provided great service. As one of our bags was lost on the flight, it was delivered by the airline to the house whilst we were out - and the bag was accepted and put in our room where we found it when we returned.
Yukiko was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed. We could leave our luggage at her place on our arrival day as we were a few hours earlier. The listing gives a good view on how the room is: spacious, clean, a little bit old fashioned but very ok. For us it was a perfect stay with 3 persons but also with 4 persons there's space enough. We had an airco system which was necessary with temperatures over 35°C. The excellent connection with the PATH trains to Newark, WTC and midtown Manhattan is really a plus for this airbnb. You do not need to pay lot and lots more to stay in Manhattan if you have such a good connection (for $2.5 per person per track). Surplus is the niece neighborhood of Groove Station with lots of good restaurants and a lively amusement every evening. There's also a great place to have breakfast (Prato bakery).
This was my first time using Airbnb and it was amazing. Yukikos home was very warm and inviting and was very accurate to the description. The room was lovely and very well kept. I am planning a return trip sometime in the next few months and will definitely be staying here again.
Accueil simple car tardif.
We (two parents, two teenage kids) had a pleasant stay at Yukiko's place, conveniently located in Jersey City, at a 10 to 15 minutes walk from Grove Station, metrostation that brings you to Manhattan in a couple of minutes. Nice neighborhood, lots of restaurants and shops on Newark Ave. Yukiko was very helpful. When visiting New York, this is definitely a nice play to stay!
The apartment was very clean and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Yukiko is a very friendly, helpful and caring host, who adjust very quickly to any request of us. Since there are a lot of nice cafés and restaurants around, the missing oven was no problem at all.
About the Host, Yukiko
I am a proud mom of a little girl and a wife of an amazing hubby. In the house, we speak English, Japanese, Bulgarian, and little Spanish. I love traveling, music, meeting new people, and knitting. I love New York, New Jersey, and my house. I know our place is priced lower than it's value, but we decide to use it to serve people until our kid(s) grow up. My wish here at Airbnb is to help travelers with having memorable visit in NYC and NJ.
