Come and enjoy a bright sunny room with a great view of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge.
Come and enjoy a bright sunny room in a 3 bedroom classic prewar building on Riverside Drive in upper Manhattan. The room has a great view of the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge.
This room is ideal for students or traveling adults looking for a comfortable temporary and affordable accommodation.
The room is best suited for 1 person and has a semi private entrance with its own 1/2 bathroom. It's a large apartment by New York standards with 2 entrances. One entrance leads almost directly into the bedroom. This is great for the guest as your comings and goings don't bother anyone at all. The 1/2 bath has its own sink and toilet allowing for your additional privacy.
I will provide bedding, linens and towels as needed.
There is a laundry facility available for use 7 days per week in the basement of the building from 8am to 9pm.
This is a great area and well connected to the rest of the city via the 1, A, C, B and F subway lines ( the 1 train is only one block away) as well as the M5, M4, M19, and the M11 buses. Travel time is less than 20 mins to midtown Manhattan.
The apartment is located in front of Riverbank State Park offering a swimming pool, track, gym, soccer field, basketball courts, tennis courts, skating and an amazing bike path that stretches the length of Manhattan.
There are several good restaurants in the neighborhood, a Rite Aid on the corner, a supermarket and several banking machines apx. a block away.
I think airbnb works best for both guest and host when you have a little dialog before hitting the "book it" button. So please feel free to ask any questions you might have about myself, my family and the accommodations.
Thanks! Hope to be able to host you during your stay in New York!
There is a $35.00 dollar charge for lost keys and a $25.00 fee for a lost key card.
Please do not bring uninvited guests/friends into the apartment or the room.
A $15.00 cleaning fee would be appreciated at your time of departure. :-)
Thank you in advance for following this short list of rules
I stayed at Alicia's place for only 2 nights - and wish I could have stayed longer. I loved the place and find Alicia a kind and charming host. Wonderful to have a private toilet.
the location is a little far from downtown, but very close to the subway, so if you go out in the morning and spend a whole day out, that's not a problem at all.
the half bathroom is perfect.
the bed is a little high, no problem for me to climbing up, but worry about falling down when sleeping although it never happend.
generally, it's a good experience on airbnb
Alicia is a very friendly person. She gave me practical tips what to visit in NY The room
is absolutely sufficient for one person and I loved having bathroom all to myself :)
The room is located in a great apartment in Hamilton Heights, with views to the river.
I would recommend Alicia's place to everyone.
Unluckily, after booking the trip I had to cancel due to personal reasons so I never got to meet Alicia or see the house. I can only say that she seemed really friendly and nice and I would have loved to be able to stay at her place.
Alicia is a very friendly and open-minded person and a wonderful and caring host. She helped me out with a map and gave me practical tips. I was free to use the kitchen and had my own bathroom. I loved her house which was very inspiring and inviting to me. The room is small but absolutely sufficient for one person. The location isn`t really pivotal which doesn`t really matter because the subway is just steps away.
I recommend her place!
Great location and a wonderful host!
My flight into NY was extremely delayed and Alicia was nothing but understanding and accommodating.
The apartment is spacious and inviting, and the view of the Hudson is fabulous. The building is very nice, too. It feels almost luxurious compared to some of the cramped and narrow buildings I've seen. There are two elevators so you don't spend too much time waiting around. Plus, the building is only a block away from the 1 subway line and a drugstore. Very convenient.
The room is ideal for a single traveler--cozy, comfortable, and bright. I loved having that half bathroom all to myself. I also liked that the room was closer to the kitchen. I didn't feel like I was disturbing anyone when I wanted to grab a snack.
I'm looking forward to my next visit!
