Comfortable double-bed in room with basic amenities. Private terrace led to private bathroom. A light breakfast and good coffee every morning. Marcia was not in Mexico, but her good friend Isobel (email hidden). Easy walk to Centro and Artesian's Market on flat streets, cool artistic neighbourhood. Minor maintenance issues (cracked toilet seat, loose door hinges, dirty fridge) are easy fixes when Marcia returns. Picked up a pretty shawl and a funky necklace in her home boutique! All in (email hidden) to stay in a good neighbourhood on a tight budget, with kind and accommodating people.
Seeing the picture of my room makes me feel homesick! I loved my stay in San Miguel de Allende at Marcia's B&B. This was a perfect fit for me. I love Marcia! Both New Yorkers we just clicked immediately. Her warmth and openness was a joy and pleasure to be around. Funny, well that's an understatement. Other guests in her place couldn't believe that we just met! And the other guests - well they all in one way or another made by trip. Marcia turned me on to lots of things to do and hanging out at the house or in Via Organica just down the street felt like I'd been there forever. I wanted to stay longer but there was no room at the inn since new guests were coming in. I loved my cozy private room with its private bathroom and terrace. I don't want to go on and on about the great breakfasts that we all shared like family, me in my pjs and all the laughs and stories we are shared. If I do go on I'm afraid someone else will have booked my room when I got back.
Thank you very much, Marcia, for a wonderful stay. Really appreciated getting to know you and the other guests. Your yummy, nutritious breakfasts helped me start each day off well. And I LOVED the restaurants nearby, especially Via Organica and Delica Mitsu. Muchissimias Gracias!!!
Wow. Lovely room with outdoor space, amazing price, great breakfast and everything you would need in a great neighborhood with the warm and friendly Marcia, who is a wealth of information!
When travelling to San Miguel stay at Marcias B&B. Everything was more than expected. Lots of stories, laughs, & fun -fun-fun. High standard to achieve on my next Air B&B adventure!
I had the pleasure of staying at Marcia's B&B for the month of June 2013. First of all, the location is perfect on so many levels....10 minutes or less walk to centro, two minute walk (email hidden) restaurant/market as well as a "corner store" at the end of the next street, art supply store across the street and a fresh fish shop a half block away. Marcia is very entertaining and keeps her guests in stitches with the stories she has to tell. She's also a wealth of information and knows San Miguel inside and out so is always eager to help if you have any questions or need to find your way somewhere. I stayed in the Private room with Terrace which was comfortable and spacious.....very comfy bed and lots of wardrobe hanging space! Most enjoyable is the ambiance of the communal kitchen where I met other travelers, had interesting conversations and found new friends over good coffee and breakfast treats! I will definitely stay at Marcia's again on my next trip (6th) to SMA. Thank you Marcia for your outstanding hospitality!
Staying at Marcia's was great. The room was as promised and the B&B is in a great location, less than a ten minute walk to the central jardin. The vibe is comfortable and the breakfasts start the day off right. Thanks Marcia!
Clean amd (email hidden).
Marcia is a very accommodating host and a good conversationalist. Loved the room, which was only a 10 min. walk from the Parroquia - and the tasty breakfasts didn't hurt either.
Marcia was a lovely hostess--always friendly and helpful. She was kind to provide breakfast every morning! My room was clean and comfortable. The wifi access in my room was not good but there was a comfortable spot for me to sit at the counter in the kitchen when I needed to be online. The neighborhood is fairly quiet and very close to great Organic Restaurant. I'd happily stay here again!
