Marcie very definitely makes every guest feel welcome. She takes each new arrival by the hand and points out how to get to the center of town -- a short walk in reality -- and back home again along the cobbled streets of Colonia Guadelupe to 12, Margarito Ledesma. Our rooms were more than adequate and the general atmosphere casual and friendly. The only suggestion is that since this is Mexico, an authentic once-a-week desayuno mexicano would be most welcome. Marcie was also compassionate, allowing wife Danielle ready access to computer-generated phone-calls under exceptional unforeseen circumstances. She is a truly singular personality who adds warmth and pezass to the San Miguel experience.
I don't think you will find a better host in all of San Miguel than Marcia! She is warm kind hilarious and informative. The room was perfect and I could not ask for better accomodations. The location is great and I have already booked my return trip to stay at Marcias.
Marcia is a nice and charming host. Very warm hearted and helpful in every way. The house is well located and very clean. We especially enjoyed Marcia's breakfast story-telling-she has so many great stories! Thank you Marcia!
Marcia home in the Colonial Guadalupe section of San Miguel is in a great centro location , we really like the private room with terrace plenty of room for two at a bargain. Easy safe walk , to all main sites and Marcia will arrange for a driver to take you to the nearby towns. We enjoyed meeting Marcia a 20 year resident and our talks about
Marcia was great! We loved chatting it up with her everytime we got a chance to! The place is as described and the pictures are exactly what we saw when we arrived. She gave us a quick little tour of the neigborhood and a few tips for getting around. Light breakfast and coffee is served every morning. Great experience. Very accessible to answering questions and sharing her last tums! The terrace was perfect and very private. The shower was great and I enjoyed that the bathroom was not inside the room! Thank you for having us over! We had a great time!
Marcia was very welcoming and funny - she told great stories and was very talkative over breakfast and when I spent time in the house. She made an effort to make sure that I was well oriented, and even gave me a tour of the neighborhood upon arrival. The neighborhood was nice - quiet, but walking distance from the centro and located near a delicious organic cafe.
The private room and terrace were nice, although the internet upstairs (in the private room) wasn't working while I was there and only worked downstairs. Marcia said the router is being fixed, though, so I expect that this will be resolved shortly. Probably just something to check with Marcia about before booking this particular room, since I understand that the internet worked in the other rooms at her house.
Overall a pleasant stay!
We loved San Miguel De Allende and Marcia was a big part of why we loved it so much. The place was great. The location was great. She was a great host. We will be back to visit very soon and of course we will stay at Marcia's place.
