About this listing
My bright and sunny one bedroom apartment is cozy and perfect for one couple. It's on a quiet street, just a few blocks to a bus into NYC which gets you into midtown in twenty minutes. It has a balcony with some great views of the NYC skyline.
This apartment is conveniently located just outside NYC with easy access to local public transportation. I'm located just a few blocks from the most outstanding view of NYC and the Hudson River. You will have some amazing photographs to take back home.
The apartment is only about 600 square feet, very cozy but feels bright and airy with a decent sized bathroom. The apartment gets sunlight all day. The bedroom has a full size mattress in the bedroom, so if it works best for shorter people like myself but the mattress is brand new!
My building is quiet with mostly couples and young families so quiet hours start at 10pm. My building has security cameras on the exterior of the building and in the lobby so it's safe. You also need a special key fob to enter the building and there is an intercom for guests or deliveries. I prefer only one couple or a single person for this space, no children, no pets and NO smoking please.
The apartment includes WiFi (internet), and cable TV in the living room. The bedroom has a TV but no cable, just basic channels.
You will have access to my parking space for $20 dollars more a day if needed. The space is located in a secure garage on the first floor of my building. I also have a laundry machine and dryer in my apartment and central air conditioning. My kitchen is in great condition with working appliances if you choose to cook at home. It also has a dishwasher.
This is a private apartment and no one else lives here.
Parking on the street, you will need a 24 hour day pass for Monday thru Friday passes which costs $3 dollars per day and can be purchased six blocks from the apartment.
There is a local grocery store around the block from my apartment, and a block away is a main street with lots of shopping and access to food.
I have a Queen sized air mattress available also if needed.
Interaction with Guests
I will not be present but someone will be reachable if there are any issues.
The neighborhood is quiet and has amazing views of the NYC skyline.
Local buses just a few blocks from the apartment that take you into midtown manhattan in just a few minutes. There is also a light rail train that stops six blocks from the apartment which take you into Hoboken.
Paul is a very pleasant host, nice and was always available for us, he answered very quickly to our questions. His place is perfect to discover the city of New York while staying a bit further from the city and live in a very nice neighborhood. It is very easy to get into the city, about 20 minutes of bus. Very well decorated and very clean, fully equipped, the perfect place to stay!
I enjoy Paul as a host; he is trust worthy, communicative, and has your best interest at heart. He reached out to me during my stay to make sure all was well. The apartment is clean, safe, and comfortable. Its walking distance to public transportation that will take you into nyc. I am always pleased staying at Paul's!
Due to Paul being out of town, he had a very lovely and welcoming person, Francesca to meet us. The description of the apartment is exactly. The bed, while comfortable, was full size, although it was fine for us.
Paul's apartment was a beautiful place to stay when you have the wish to live in a quite place with a good connection to Manhattan. My husband and I loved the interior and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and we had plenty of space for the two of us. There is a bus station 3 blocks away from the apartment - 54th St / Boulevard East - with an astonishing view over the skyline of Manhattan. We really enjoyed our stay in his place, the communication was very good, unfortunately we didn't met him in person, but his realtor Francesca organized everything and and was very helpful with everything. Thank you again for sharing your special place with us!
It was a delightful stay with paul as the perfect host, he was available at all times by phone/text addressing my needs within minutes, apartment was clean, cozy, and beautiful. its walking distance to public transit into nyc and the neighborhood is filled with ethnic eats and a grocery store which came in handy. thank you paul for everything!
I'd selfishly love to keep this place my own little secret but that would be too self serving;-) This was my 4th visit to NJ in the last 5 months and the best Airbnb experience thus far. Paul was the perfect host. His apartment is ultra comfortable. The location is superb. A short walk to the bus takes you to dt Manhattan in less than 20 min. Spectacular views of the skyline, seriously this is the place to be. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Paul for everything!
Paul's apartment was just as described, clean, a fantastic view of the NYC skyline, and a perfect size for 2 people. The apartment is only 3 blocks from the bus stop to Port Authority (if no traffic, only takes 20 mintues to get there). Paul left detailed instructions on how to get into the city and tips for any other concerns we may have had during our time there. Great host and great apartment for a stay in NYC!
About the Host, Paul
I have lived in and around the NYC area my entire life. I truly LOVE it. I decided to purchase my condo right outside the city a few years ago and I have worked hard to make it my home. My career is in TV production and which has been great, but I might be making a change to real estate soon. My schedule is allowing me to travel more which is why I'm making my place available to others who want to enjoy being close to the city and get to see amazing views of the NYC skyline.
I like to entertain friends and family when I'm home. I take pride in keeping an organized and clean living space. I'm hoping to travel more internationally which is why I'm trying Air B & B to establish a good relationship.
My favorite things are a cup of coffee, amazing food and wine with friends, being active outdoors in the warm weather, exploring NYC, interior design, watching movies at home, and yes watching some trashy reality TV (please don't judge ha ha) goign to music concerts and having some great laughs.
