I think you will love the stylish and cozy feel of our home. Although the house looks and feels vintage, it underwent a major remodel several years ago and has a clean modern feel, without losing vintage charm.
This is a private room in my home. Your room is private and clean, with a double/full size bed. There is a bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub (no shower) right next to your room. If you want to shower there is one right at the top of the stairs. Sorry, no dogs please.
Combine this room with my other room "Sweet Cleo's Room" if you are traveling with friends!
I also book this room as a duo with my other room "Sweet Cleo's Room" for larger groups, that is only a 1 night minimum on weekdays and some weekends.
I think you will love the stylish and cozy feel of our home. Although the house looks and feels vintage, it underwent a major remodel several years ago and has a clean modern feel, without losing vintage charm. In the Summer months you can enjoy our backyard and swimming pool (with a great tube style water slide!), and feel free to BBQ and eat on the deck. There is a market 1 block away, and downtown Santa Rosa is a mere 8 blocks away.
(See my other room available down to the right.)
Railroad Square is the neighborhood a quick walk away where you will find restaurants & bars, coffee shops, 2 wine bars, antiques & thrift shops, and my yarn shop "Cast Away" too!
If we are hosting a beginning knitting class during your stay we would like to invite you to a free (website hidden) & Wine:
The Russian River Brewery -they currently have the worlds #1 & #3 beers!!- is downtown, about a 20 minute walk or a 3 minute drive. People line up around the block for hours for the new Plinys when they are released, it's crazy!
Wine wine wine! You will have no trouble finding places to go wine tasting if that's your thing.
The Joe Rodota Bike trail is a half block from our house, this trail will take you in many directions- to West County to ride the hills, or a quick jaunt downtown.
The Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel (where many conventions are held) is between our home & downtown, a 8-10 minute walk.
Santa Rosa is home to several exciting events- Levi's Grand Fondo bike race (Oct 5), finish line for The Amgen Tour of California (May 12-19), Wunderkammer August 25, Rivertown Revival (July 20, Petaluma), and more!
40 miles to the ocean- Highway 1 along this stretch is AMAZING anytime of the year.
San Francisco is about an hour South of us.
Healdsburg, Petaluma and Sonoma are quaint towns within 30 miles, Calistoga, Napa & St Helena within 60 miles.
Hundreds of wineries within a 60 mile radius!
You are welcome to use the living room & kitchen/dining. If you need to do some laundry that's fine too. If it is swimming weather please swim! There are pool towels out there in the pool room.
Interaction with Guests
I tend to chat with guests a bit, maybe 10-20 minutes upon arrival or when we first meet, but for the most part I do my own thing and so do they. I am busy and am not home when most people arrive, but almost always meet each guest.
You are very close to hwy 101, hwy 12 & within walking distance to downtown Santa Rosa.
Please make yourself at home!
The most important rule is do not let my dog out the front door or any side gates in the yard!
Great spot. Nice quiet street, close to historical part of Santa Rosa. Was out and about so much, so missed out on the nice back garden and pool. Thanks Justine.
Overall a nice experience. Justine was sweet and the room was cute and clean. The bathroom upstairs (where the shower is) wasn't the cleanest but overall my stay was just what I needed. Close to downtown and good restaurants!
Justine's place worked out perfect for my 1 night stay in Santa Rosa during my road trip from Portland to San Fransisco. Everything was described accurately, was very clean and the bed is super cozy. Justine was easy to work with and a pleasure to meet. Would stay again.
Justine is an incredible hostess. This is our second time to visit her, and both times have redefined my conception of what hospitality and interior design is. We can't wait to come back again and check out her studio out back.
I loved the charm and decor in Justine's home. The small details and color splashes were delightful. The house was easy to access and Justine was prompt responding to my requests.
Justine is a true gem. She is so warm and welcoming and her home is cozy craftsman vintage/modern perfection. We had a wonderful experience. Thanks Justine!
Justine's home is very charming and it was easy to get to downtown from her area. It was my first Airbnb experience and it was 100% positive!
