Interaction with Guests
I love to give good tips to my guests.
As I'm from Milano I know some secret spots that are just around the corner from my home !
Best Pizza Place EVER !!! really good ice cream places ! really old school bars, hi-end concept stores, and small specific shops etc. etc.
Why I love this Neighborhood ?
It's the best connected area in terms of public transporations ( Train, Buses to the airport, all the 3 metro lines at not more than 4 minute walkin distance, more than 10 buses for all the part of the city ) and you have a main commercial street ( corso Buenos aires ) that leads to the city center ( Duomo ) just 4 minute walking from here. You can also walk ( 10 min ) to Porta Venezia, a really nice area where you can have a bite o hang out in a nice cafè.
"Isola" , another cafè+ restaurants area is also very close.
And if you're lazy there are few good restaurants just one block from here.
You wont miss anything !!!
She made us feel at home and her apartment was beautiful with a perfect location.
We were there for only one night and chose this place because it is close to the central station and airport bus shuttles. It is close to shops, restaurants, bar... and it's very convenient. Unfortunately, we haven't got the chance to meet with Caterina but had a good welcome by her father.
The room is sweet, and the apartment is very beautiful (it's on the 7th floor, so the view is amazing!). Both Caterina and her boyfriend Tomasso made me feel welcome right away, they have a very relaxed attitude. I visited Milano for the Salone and they gave me a lot of tips on what to see. They are both into art and design, which really helped me to enjoy my time there. Also they know about bars, restaurants etc. The location is great, I did not really check out the neighborhood but the subway is only 50m down the road so you're in the city center within 15 min. I had a great time!
My experience was better than I could have ever wished for. The place is very close to central train station and in walking distance to other main attractions. To top all this off, the hosts were very welcoming and kind. They gave me all the information and tips I needed for getting around. So I would highly recommend it to anyone. Surely anytime I'm back in Milano this will be my first choice.
Accoglienza calda e gentile, in questo bellissimo e charming appartamento milanese dotato di una luce stupenda (è un attico) e di una bella vista su Milano e la nuova skyline. Grazie a Caterina e Tommy dell'ospitalità! Ps. Location super per chi deve recarsi alla Stazione Centrale.
- Caterina. She was extremely warm and friendly and made me feel at home immediately. Her boyfriend, for the little I saw him, was also really friendly. And, in case you were wondering, she does speak English.
- Location. The place is indeed a spitting distance from Milano Centrale and within walking distance of almost everything else.
- My room. My room was clean and tidy. And the tiny balcony attached to it is the winner. The bathroom was also clean.
- The living room could use a little tidying.
- Don't expect the furnishing to be spanking new like in a hotel. I mean, how many homes have spanking new furnishings?
- We had a bit of a communication snafu at the beginning that had me check in later than expected. I'll blame airbnb for that one though. In response, Caterina was flexible and did her best to accommodate me, going as far as offering me a discount.
In conclusion, I'll stay here again in a heartbeat. Most of the reason why I wanted to stay in Airbnb on this trip was to have a friendly face and conversation to come home to in an unfamiliar city and Caterina was certainly it.
