A lovely large room in late Georgian house belonging to an artist and a musician.
Our house was built between 1820 and 1830. It is characterful, and is furnished simply and comfortably, with many original features and stripped floorboards throughout. We overlook Museum Gardens, The Museum of Childhood and St John's, a John Soanes' church. It is literally one minute away from Bethnal Green Tube, which is on the Central Line and 15 minutes from Oxford Circus. Brick Lane and Shoreditch are both about a 15 minute walk away, as are Broadway Market and Columbia Road.
The room available has two sofas, one of which is a very comfortable double sofa bed. There is a shared bathroom and second loo. You are welcome to help yourself to breakfast, tea and coffee at any time, and to use the kitchen and the washing machine and dryer.
All bedding and towels are provided, as is Wifi connection.
If you have any questions, please ask.
I stayed here with Susie and Jock for a week and had a wonderful time.Everything was as expected.Literally 2 mins walk from Bethnal Green tube station in a quiet street.
What a charming place to stay welcomed by the warm Susie Honeyman. The room was very comfortable and pretty and I was provided with plenty of local knowledge and anything I needed ie help with my suitcase down stairs and to the train was handled in a no fuss way. A lovely stay. Thank you very much.
I stayed 2 days in this wonderful room in Bethnal Green, London. The zone is strategic to move quickly all around the city, is very green and comfortable. I loved the house, easily to find and i felt like i was at home! You can also see the park from the window in the room, it was very relaxing..
John and Susie are very friendly and kind, they always took care of me!!
I recommended this special place, rare to find in a big city!
Susie & Jock were very friendly and most helpful! I felt very welcome in their house. Perfect location, large, nice room facing the park and close to tube & bus + everything I needed during my short stay. Surprisingly quiet, woke up to the sound of birdsong in the middle of London! Thank you.
I had a really lovely time at Susie's. Very convenient for getting around London, and a very comfortable bed and house.
Merci beaucoup Susie
Susie's house is a real gem. She and her family are very friendly and the room is super comfortable (you won't feel squeezed at all and the furniture is all period pieces) with access to a large kitchen (one the ground floor) and a nice bathroom--on the same floor, with an extra large bath tub. The tube station is a stone's throw away and the green in front of the house is really nice. Victoria Park is a short distance away for those brave souls who can work/holiday AND exercise. The area is packed with Sainsburys, Tescos, Co-Ops and such.... Brick Lane is a short 10 minute-walk away. I stayed for almost two weeks and after a couple of days I felt really at home.
Do not expect an Ikea bedroom in a white cube of a house, though!
Si my partner stayed at susies place and came back saying how nice it was and would go again. Recommended to other air BnBers.
I really enjoyed staying here. The room is great, lots of paintings and art and very comfortable and spacious.
Susie is very welcoming and made me feel very much at home.
I would definitely recommend staying here.
I had a great time staying in a lovely characterful room. Great location - central but amazingly quiet. Friendly hosts and everything was as I needed it...
