Susanne and Joe were amazing hosts! Wonderful suggestions about the area, knowledgeable about the history of Mt. Vernon, and super friendly and accommodating. I will be back for sure! The area is quiet and pleasant with lots of restaurants. Try Brewer's Art or City Cafe. Also an easy walk to the train station. The building is filled with wonderful antiques and is spacious and comfortable. Great and enjoyable stay!
Gorgeous apartment in Mt. Vernon area! Bigger and better than the pictures! Also many restaurants in the area and walking distance to Union Station to take MARC to airport or Amtrak. Highly recommend!!!
Very welcoming hosts. Neighborhood was lovely. Very central to the cultural center of Baltimore & the free Charm City Circulator bus.
Beautiful old building with old woodwork & creaky floors, but modern kitchen & bath
We received a warm and easygoing welcome from Susanne and Joe. They were helpful and it was reassuring to know they were just downstairs, should we need to contact them. The row house apartment was truly charming and had everything we needed for our extended weekend. There were nice antiques to enjoy and admire. We enjoyed being in the historical district of Mt. Vernon from which we easily walked to downtown and the Inner Harbor. We are also glad we took Joe's advice and dined at The Helmand and Akbar, not to mention had espressos at Milk & Honey all right in Mt. Vernon. We recommend Another Charmer and our hosts. Thanks Susanne and Joe for a lovely first weekend of 2015's Spring season.
We had an amazing time visiting Baltimore and the Mount Vernon neighborhood was the perfect location. It is off the free circulator, which we took home one day, though really we walked everywhere else. We were traveling with our 10 month old son, so a welcoming place to come home to at night was a must (since we are home from 6pm on! Lol) The apt was beautiful and very large. The temperature was great, but it was nice to know they provided 2 space heaters in case their guests wanted it warmer. Susanne and Joe were both so friendly and helpful. Susanne was quick to respond to emails when we had a question, such as rebooting the router within 5 min of my asking about it. Also, they were quick to accommodate our earlier arrival, which was going above and beyond since they had a guest who left the day we arrived. You cannot beat the location, apt size and condition, and hosting provided here. We would definitely stay here again in the future!
We really enjoyed our stay in Mt. Vernon. What a cozy, charming apartment! It was great to be so close to so much. While we came for a concert, we ended up in the middle of the St. Patrick's Day festivities and so much more. Just a few blocks to all we needed. But the best part of all was Susanne and her hospitality. She was very helpful and quick to offer suggestions and tips on everything from parking to restaurants. We will definitely return!
