We also live in the building, in separate apartments. We are always available by cell, text, email etc and whenever necessary in person!
We are two short blocks from a major subway stop, the 6 Train.
Please no smoking. We kindly request you treat our home, like your home. Quiet in the hallways. Cleanliness in the house, like taking out the food trash. No unregistered guests.
We were warmly welcomed by Steven into this lovely apartment. It's much bigger than it looks in the photos. The bathroom is a dream! It's a nice up and coming area, I would say. The nearest subway stop is only a few minutes walk, and there are lots of restaurants close by, or just a few stops away. We'll be back!
The apartment was great! It was large and had plenty of room. Amy provided many extras such as snacks, beer and shampoo, etc. She checked on us often during our stay to see if we needed anything else while we were there. Everything you could want was in the neighborhood. The grocery store was only 2 blocks away and Central park was about 4 blocks away. The subway was 2 blocks away. So everything was very convenient.
Staying at Amy's apartment was an absolute pleasure. Communication leading up to and during the stay was excellent. Arrival and handover was quick and simple thanks to Amy's brother, Stephen. The apartment was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and surprisingly big. All mod-cons are provided which was handy. The bed was very comfortable, and the bath was huge. It was a welcome place to return after seeing the sights. Amy even sorted out a plumber to visit during our stay when the heating was a bit noisy. It was fixed swiftly. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return very soon!
Amy's apartment is stunning! The photos are exactly what you are offered on arrival, and even they don't do the place justice. Amy is the most gracious host, only a phone call/text away to assist with anything you should need. She makes you feel so at home, and my partner and I were only there for 8 days but she felt like an old friend by the end of it as she's so inviting. The apartment is so close to the subway that the city is merely minutes away, and the area itself is ripe with little restaurants and shops for all your needs. We felt so safe and welcome in NYC and Amy, and her equally gracious brother Steven who was there to greet us, was a large reason why we did.
Amy's place is spacious and very nice with a fantastic bathroom. We stayed there for four nights and it was a pure pleasure. The location is good with the train just 2min away, a perfect base for exploring the east side.
Amy and her brother were very accommodating and flexible and made out stay very easy and enjoyable.
Would definitely stay again.
This is my second stay at Amy's place in Spanish Harlem—this time with my family for a one-week holiday trip to NY. We all had the feeling of being at home in this very cosy and conveniently located apartment. The proximity of line 4/6 makes it easy to come and go. Amy was a great host and gave us useful tips about activities suited for a kid in NY. We'll be back!
A wonderful and spacious apartment a little way out of town, but perfect for a rest from the hustle and bustle of the city. Amy and Steven made us feel very welcome, and the apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would recommend it wholeheartedly.

I am a third generation New Yorker. I love my city and have a great handle on all the neighborhoods. In fact I am a terminal tourist in my own city. I travel all over the world and enjoy exploring new places, returning to old ones and meeting new friends and eating all types of food.
