The cottage was clean and comfortable and in a great location. Burnsall is a pretty village in a lovely spot, and close to many attractions in the Dales

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Richard was very helpful replying to emails promptly and even let us in the cottage early. The cottage is very well equipped. It was warm and had constant hot water. Unfortunately it needs updating and when we stayed the cottage (especially the oven) needed a deep clean. Hopefully Richard will sort these issues for future visitors as the cottage has potential.

Our family-of-5 from Western Australia enjoyed a great stay in Burnsall staying in Richard's lovely old stone cottage. Richard was great with communication and Burnsall itself could not have been more picturesque. It is an absolutely stunning small village made up entirely of beautiful old stone buildings on the gorgeous River Wharfe in Yorkshire. While there was some musty dampness in the house (which could well be due to the cold time of year when we stayed) and the sheets & towels could definitely use an upgrade, the kitchen is well appointed and the lounge room is very cosy indeed with a nice warm gas fire heater. We had several great meals at the Red Lion pub just around the corner and some glorious walks along the river and around the hills. Truly God's Country. Gorgeous!

My three friends an I had a great stay at Richard's cottage and wished that we could have stayed a bit longer. It is very well equipped, clean and, in the wintry weather that we had, the cottage soon heated up and there was copious hot water. It is in a great location and Richard was on hand and very helpful in putting in an extra single bed and even another if required. Many thanks Richard!

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful village and perfect base for visiting the national park. Richard was very friendly and he allowed me to use his wifi at his home as I was struggling to finish a job while I was away. Thanks! The cottage has everything you need and perfect for family.

The cottage is well situated for exploring Wharfedale, you can get onto a wide range of footpaths without getting into your car. The heating warms the house quickly and there was always plenty of hot water available.

Richard from Burnsall is the owner of a B&B and Holiday Cottage in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and also owns and runs a small Sheep farm. He likes to travel and meet travellers from all over the world and help them have the best stay possible in Burnsall, Yorkshire and the UK and his happy to help you plan a short walk or a long stay. A strong believer in getting of the tourist treadmill and meeting the real locals and sharing there knowledge and know how. The B&B has many wall maps and Richard is always improving his collection. Ambitions are to welcome guests from every country in the World and surprisingly is well on the way to doing so!
