I really enjoyed my stay at Dar Moussaine! The staff is so lovely and kind and I thought my room was decorated beautifully with an eye for detail. The riad is very close to the main square but it is not noisy. I did not have dinner prepared for me by the cook, next time, but was a cosy atmosphere you will have dinning inside and if it's cold there is a fireplace is near by!
This is a very nice place to stay and the price was great. I would definitely recommend this riad to anymore traveling to Marrakech.
We stayed at Riad Dar Mouassine for 5 nights in October and enjoyed our time in Marrakech. David was visible but didn't interact with guests directly, rather calling the staff for any queries or requests. We had emailed him a few days before our arrival for airport pickup but got no response via Air bnb and instead had to get a lift to the Riad from another Riads driver, unfortunately there was no apology from David in regards to this oversight.
The Riad was as pictured and our room the Coriander Suite was on the top floor and was small but everything you need for a short stay.
The staff were very kind, if not a bit forgetful, we had to ask for more toilet paper and more bottled water (which was charged to the room, even though Marrakech water is unsafe for visitors and not advisable for teeth brushing!). Breakfast was a light affair and quite tasty, especially the crepes and honey!
We are very keen on a cup of tea at the start and end of the day and were surprised there were no facilities for guests to make their own, instead we had to ask the staff which seemed quite inconvenient for them and us at times. This also resulted in us being charged for the luxury.
The Riad was very quiet at night and the bed firm and comfortable. The shower pressure was great and there was always plenty of hot water. The air conditioner was a god send as it was still very very hot in Marrakech in October. We always felt safe and welcomed by Fatima and staff when we returned after our days in the Medina.
Whilst the Riad was fine, we would probably look for somewhere with a bit more space and more thoughtful customer service in future, especially in a city with such competitive accommodation options.
