Central Oregon has something to do for everyone. For outdoor enthusiasts, you can hike, jog, swim, golf, bike, ski, kayak, rock climb (you get the idea). 9 inches rain a year = 300 days of sunshine, music to your ears if you live on the rainy side. There are literally hundreds of trails and parks that can keep you exploring for months. If you want something more relaxing, there are excellent restaurants in the area and many scenic drives all around. Or you can read a book by the fireplace, catch some rays on the patio, soak in the master bedroom's jetted tub, watch a Netflix movie, surf the web via WiFi, or use the spa at the Eagle Crest resort.

Why we bought here: We've been visiting Central Oregon's various resorts (Sunriver, Black Butte Ranch, Brasada Ranch, Eagle Crest, Bend etc) for several years before we decided to buy our own place at our favorite resort - Eagle Crest. Our kids simply love it, and we've found they have a new appreciation for the outdoors. Their favorite activities include hunting for golf balls (like a year long easter egg hunt), watching the rabbits and deer just outside the chalet, geocaching, riding bikes, swimming, skiing etc. There's something to do here throughout the year. Unlike Sunriver or Black Butte Ranch, Eagle Crest has more sunlight with expansive multi-mountain views. Its also far less crowded, and a bit warmer in the winter (rarely has snow on the roads)
We simply love spending time here over and over again. Its become a family tradition. Hopefully you will do the same..
Wi-Fi, Netflix, keyless entry, well stocked kitchen. Linens and towels provided.
Usually very quiet, far more deer than people.
Please no pets or smoking due to severe allergies.
Listing fee includes 8% Deschutes County Lodging tax.
This is our family home so please take great care of it. Contact us any time for questions or problems.
In the summer/busy season checkout is 11am at the latest. Earliest check-in is at 4PM to give our housekeeper time to clean the chalet. Other than those times we try to be flexible with the scheduling.
We would love to hear your feedback. Have fun, explore the outdoors!
The house we rented from Julie was fantastic. It was exactly what we had imagined and more. It was clean and fully stocked with dishes (including kid friendly dishes and sippy cups), cooking utensils, linens, towels, and even games and books. We were looking for something that felt like a vacation spot and this met that criteria. It was perfect for our family of four. It was spacious and the amenities at Eagle Creek are amazing.
We had a wonderful experience renting this property. It was our first time in central Oregon & hosts gave us very detailed info about things to do there which was a big help. House was great as per the expectations, clean, tidy and fully stocked with kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies and towels. Location was awesome and we had a lot of fun with family in the area. Thank you guys...
This was my first experience with Airbnb and I could not be any more satisfied. We spent a beautiful Fall weekend (3 nights) in Redmond and I only regret that we did not have more time. The unit was completely stocked with every important amenity from shampoo to laundry soap, from jetted tub to bbq grill. The home was ideal for my family and I am so grateful that the hosts we so thorough in their preparation for guests. I recommend this unit with absolutely no hesitation.
Our experience with Julie was very positive. The communication prior to our arrival made access to her home seamless. The chalet was clean and ready for us when we arrived and we felt right at home in the very well-supplied house. We cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners and enjoyed many meals on the deck overlooking the golf course. The book of information she left in the chalet made navigation around the resort and local recreational offerings very easy. We loved the Putting Course, rented bikes, sampled local brews, visited Mt. Bachelor, hiked Smith Rock and explored The Big Obsidian Flow and other parts of the Lava Lands.
This was the perfect mini-vacation, and we all left feeling renewed. We even had a phone from Ireland, from Julie's husband to make certain that everything was alright.
We highly recommend the Hike 'n Bike Chalet!
We had a wonderful time at this lovely place. It was great for my family to gather. Peaceful, quiet, well kept and clean. The cottage had everything we needed from all the house supplies to the great views and spacious floor plan. The whole resort was very quiet and peaceful. We saw dear and other animals around during our stay.
We greatly enjoyed our stay in Eagle Crest at the Hikenbike Chalet. Julie had everything there we needed and it was very comfortable. The interior decor and views outside were very relaxing. We will look forward to an opportunity to stay there again and will refer Julie's Chalet to anyone wanting to stay at Eagle Crest.
