Our renowned soccer team plays at Jed-wen field which is in walking distance, and this apartment is the best place to park as its the closest you can park without having to pay for parking or be timed (the time alluded to park near Jed-wen is less time then a game). That means no parking tickets on game days, which is a big money maker for the City of Portland.
I am about 20 minutes by car from the PDX airport or a quick MAX ride from the airport and then 2 min cab ride to your new stay or arrange a pick up with me from there subject to my availability.

Wonderful location up on the hills. Was able to see the Portland skyline and night sky clearly. Apartment has character which we enjoyed.
Mette was a gracious host despite the fact that she was jet-lagged from travel and my arrival time was later than I had indicated it would be. It was a rainy evening, but we easily found our way up a winding road and into her charming neighborhood. Mette showed us around the apartment and invited us to make ourselves comfortable and my daughter and I settled into a cozy, quiet night. By morning light, the view of large branches outside our bedroom window on the 3rd floor gave the feeling of being up in a lofty tree house. The apartment was light and bright (despite the wet, grey January Northwest weather outside). Her neighborhood is on a high hillside above Portland and I wish time had allowed the chance to explore the area on foot.
i lucked out. All was good. The apartment was immaculate. The room very nice. I enjoyed Mette who was welcoming. My large family gathering was just two blocks away so I walked there through the nice neighborhood.
I enjoyed the fall colors on big tree outside my windows.
Mette not only made me feel welcome, but she even offered to pick me up from the tram stop after my arrival at PDX, and to deliver me to my next destination in Portland! In addition, her apartment is very close to a bus line that easily connects with downtown. The bed was one of the more comfortable ones I've slept in, and the apartment has very homey feel to it.
Mette was a great host. I love to be warm and toasty and the room heater in the room was perfect. The bed was really comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. Her apartment is clean. Parking was not a problem on the street.
Mette was an amazing host. She was very knowledgeable of Portland and told us about the nice spots to check out. She provided us with a helpful map. She was very welcoming and encouraged us to use the living room and kitchen.
The location is up on a hill with really nice views of the city. Since it is high up, you need to keep in mind the walking time it takes to walk all the way down/up when you plan your day. It is a very affluent neighborhood, so the surrounding houses were beautiful!
Only had a short night staying at the place. Mette was helpful recommending where to go in the city. Safe and scenic neighborhood to have a good view of the city from above.
I am original from Denmark, but have been living in Portland for about 23 years. I Have two growing up daughters, my older daughter is a teacher and my younger daughter is still in school. I am just starting a scrub business mettescrubs. I am a very active person, and like to go for long walks. I also like to travel a lot and have been to many places around the world. I discovered airbnb about a year ago when I had to go to New York. I had a great experience with airbnb and think it is a great way to travel. I keep my place nice and clean and always think about what it would be like if I were the guest. I have enjoyed all my guests and hope to enjoy many more.
