This was a perfect choice for our visit to Louisville to see our kids and granddaughter. It is lovely from the picture, and it is just as lovely inside. We were warm (it was still the tail end of winter), welcomed by a very large homey space with living area, sleeping area, kitchen area complete with fridge, dishes, microwave and sink. There was coffee, tea and a few items for the morning meal - complete with a sweet cream pitcher filled with fresh cream for our coffee. Too bad the weather was not warm or we could have enjoyed the outside more, the porch is a great spot to relax! Met Peg and her husband, and the adorable dog Nellie, and enjoyed getting acquainted! She is a terrific and thoughtful hostess, made sure we had everything we needed and kept in touch via text messages during our stay. The neighborhood is terrific, and had we had more time, we would have taken advantage of the hiking in nearby Cherokee Park. We loved the convenience of being so close to Bardstown Road also! We will absolutely try to stay here again for our next visit - the Garden Carriage House is a true home away from home.
The carriage house was an excellent choice for our trip! Super clean and convenient to a lot of shopping and restaurants. Peg was an excellent hostess with a lot of good recommendations. The communication was excellent from beginning to end. We will definitely stay at the carriage house again.
Another great stay at Peg's carriage house! This is my wife & I's third visit, & I really can't think of a better place to stay when visiting Louisville. It's become our go-to. The neighborhood is beautiful & located just blocks from all the joys of the Bardstown Rd area as well as lovely Cherokee Park. The carriage house is extremely well-appointed, comfortable & always very clean. Peg is such a gracious host, and even left us a box of locally made Valentine's Day chocolates! SO nice! I really can't think of a single way our stays here could be improved. Highest possible recommendation.
Peg was a wonderful host! The carriage house was beautiful, and Peg went out of her way to offer us recommendations for restaurants and bars. She made us feel right at home, even bringing is appetizers and drinks before dinner. It was a fabulous location, walkable to Bardstown Road and a beautiful neighborhood. Highly recommend.
Peg was very accommodating for a quick stay! She gave us advice on where to go in the local area, we had a great time. Peg made sure we had everything we needed and provided little extra goodies to make our stay comfortable. Overall a great experience!
Peg and her husband were fabulous hosts during our short stay in Louisville!! The carriage house is absolutely perfect, comfortable, and outfitted with everything you could ever possibly need. The location of the house is wonderful as well - minutes from the eclectic shops and restaurants located on Bardstown road. I highly recommend this to any one looking for the perfect spot in Louisville - Thanks again, Peg!!
This was a great find in Louisville. Close to restaurants and shopping, a park a few blocks away. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. The Carriage House had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. Peg was a wonderful hostess! Made arrangements for our entry, immediate response to emails, but the best part about Peg was how hospitable she was to my sister and I who had never been to Louisville!
