  • David was a charming and helpful host. The house was beautiful, and even better than we expected. We had to tear our two kids away!

  • SUCH a gorgeous house: beautifully decorated; tons of room (there are three bedrooms and a den with a TV in a addition to the living room so there's lots of room to spread out); sweet back yard with hammock that fits two; great open plan kitchen/living room. We stayed in April, so night times were chilly but the heating was brilliant and we were all super cozy. would love to stay again.

  • What a great experience! David's home was exactly as described and photographed. Tucked away amongst the trees, it was comfortable, well-appointed, and easily accommodated our family of 5. A short drive from everything, the cottage was the perfect home base for our trip. We'd gladly stay here again.

  • My friends and I had a great time at David's house. The house is beautifully decorated and is super cozy. It is close to the beach as well as shops in East Hampton. David was very kind to us and was available every time we had a question. Overall, we had a great time and totally recommend this place!

  • David house is even better that what the pictures tell. It's surrounded by trees and nature, has a lovely deck where we had all our meals, it's really comfortable, beautifully decorated and, on top of things, I found some of my favorite books in his library.

David left us useful recommendations and tips for beaches, restaurants and grocery shopping. We had everything we needed in the house. I highly recommend this house.

  • We travelled to NY as two couples in September and were looking for a 'home away from home' place to stay in the Hamptons. What a find we had with Artist Home! David was prompt & helpful with his responses to our questions. His lovely cottage is perfectly positioned and equipped for the discerning relaxer and curious explorer. Thanks David for sharing your piece of paradise with us. Wayne

About
After spending a few summers in this part of the East End of Long Island, my wife and I bought the house as a weekend getaway in 1990. We put a lot of work into this fixer upper over the years to give it charm and a bright, open feeling. After several years traveling back and forth to Springs from NYC, we realized we loved the area so much that we decided to move here full time. Since then we've kept the house as a rental so we could share some of those experiences we enjoyed: the wonderful light, the water, the fantastic food, the farms, and the great people of the East End. The art photographs in the house, of books and minimalist seascapes, were taken by my wife. She has shown at museums and galleries here (East Hampton's Guild Hall, the Parrish Art Museum), in New York City, and elsewhere.
