Our apartment is located in a small quiet street, on the first floor, with total area of 85 square meters. It has two bedrooms, double and twin, a balcony, bathroom, kitchen and dining room. Free parking is available on premise.
Kaštela (pronounced [kǎʃtɛla]) is a series of seven small towns in central Dalmatia, located along the coast between Split and Trogir. They are part of the Split-Dalmatia county and constitute a single city. Kaštela is an excellent place for sightseeing as there are more than a few great sights within reach, two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Split with the Palace of Diocletian and the town of Trogir, as well as the ancient town of Salona and the spectacular fortress of Klis towering over it. The seven towns of Kaštela are also each a historical sight on its own, as they developed around seven medieval and Renaissance castles.
Our apartment is located in Kaštel Novi, just 250 meters from the town center and 500 meters from the beach. There are plenty of cafe bars, restaurants and shops nearby, and Split airport is just 5 minutes away by car. Apartment is 2 minutes walk from public transit, bus line number 37. You can enjoy under the sun with all the infrastructure that you need!
Why is Kaštel Novi a unique place to visit? If you came to Kaštel Novi you must see our unique natural monument, the famous olive tree more than 1500 years old.
We stayed in Kastela for a week and we were received very friendly. The apartement was clean and modern with aircondition. Our host was very helpful and hospitable! He showed us Kastel Novi, Split and gave us advice what would be worth seeing in the immediate vicinity. We got a lot of information about the area and its history. We are very thankful and I would recommend this host at any rate! We spent a great time in croatia!
Words cannot describe how wonderful we found Sime and Goran and the family. The town was lovely, the beach incredible, and Sime was completely accommodating. This area is incredibly beautiful and Sime is the best tour guide anyone could ask for!
Sime is smart and amazingly knowledgeable about the area. He gave us the name of a restaurant to eat in, told us where to rent bikes, as well as consistently offering us tours and tips about his home city. Sime also picked us up at the airport and bus station as well as drove us pretty much anywhere we needed to go, which was totally helpful.
The apartment itself is well-renovated and in a charming old building with a nice balcony. It is well located-- 6 minutes walk to the beach, not far from the airport, and a bus ride to any of the major sites. It is a bit of a ride to Split, but we enjoyed staying in this sleepy and relaxed beach town.
An added (and incredible!) bonus! Before I flew out of Split, Sime took me on an extremely informative tour of Split, showing me the sites and telling me about his archeological work in the city and the surroundings. We were so grateful for all the help and care and hope that we can someday come back to this beautiful area.
