Kaštela is an excellent place for sightseeing as there are more than a few great sights within reach, two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Split with the Palace of Diocletian and the town of Trogir, as well as the ancient town of Salona and the spectacular fortress of Klis towering over it. The seven towns of Kaštela are also each a historical sight on its own, as they developed around seven medieval and Renaissance castles.

Firstly i would like to say "thank you" to Goran and Sime for so nice airbnb experience. Our first time was incredible. Really.
We had only 3 days in Kastel Novi and coudn't discover everything, but this 3 days was enough to feel in Goran's and Sime's house like at home. The place is really fully equipped, i like cooking, i found everything. We use conditioner only once maybe for one hour, because we never felt hot in the house, it was very comfortable to sleep. You can choose any type of blanket you want.
All the house is very clean, and it is sure it was decorated with love and pleasure.
I am thankful that Goran and Sime were ready to answer all our touristic questions. And i am sure, they could help in any situation.
Our house was 5 min walking to the beach, 5 min through nice streets. We fell in love with this small town. It is worth seeing place. And coffee...Mmm..
Come in Kastel Novi and you will see all by your own.
Thank you very much, dear Goran and Sime.
Our stay in Kastel Novy was great! Goran and his family welcomed us very friendly and helped us whenever asked. Apartment was very comfortable and fully equipped. We asked for additional travel baby cot and Goran found one.
There was also no problem to give us a lift to nearby airport.
We were with two small children - to the pebble beach was about 10 min slow walk :)
We would highly recommend Goran as a host.
We stayed in Kastela for a week and we were received very friendly. The apartement was clean and modern with aircondition. Our host was very helpful and hospitable! He showed us Kastel Novi, Split and gave us advice what would be worth seeing in the immediate vicinity. We got a lot of information about the area and its history. We are very thankful and I would recommend this host at any rate! We spent a great time in croatia!
Words cannot describe how wonderful we found Sime and Goran and the family. The town was lovely, the beach incredible, and Sime was completely accommodating. This area is incredibly beautiful and Sime is the best tour guide anyone could ask for!
Sime is smart and amazingly knowledgeable about the area. He gave us the name of a restaurant to eat in, told us where to rent bikes, as well as consistently offering us tours and tips about his home city. Sime also picked us up at the airport and bus station as well as drove us pretty much anywhere we needed to go, which was totally helpful.
The apartment itself is well-renovated and in a charming old building with a nice balcony. It is well located-- 6 minutes walk to the beach, not far from the airport, and a bus ride to any of the major sites. It is a bit of a ride to Split, but we enjoyed staying in this sleepy and relaxed beach town.
An added (and incredible!) bonus! Before I flew out of Split, Sime took me on an extremely informative tour of Split, showing me the sites and telling me about his archeological work in the city and the surroundings. We were so grateful for all the help and care and hope that we can someday come back to this beautiful area.

About the Host, Goran
I'm 30 years old and I absolutely enjoy spending my summer time in Dalmatia especially in our villa in Sevid!
With my family I traveled around the Europe and when I discovered airbnb.com I decide to share the beautiful landscape of my country with other travel lovers!!!
As a guest things I like the most are meeting regular people from other countries and learning about their culture and food they eat everyday.
My life motto is seize the day!
Here you can catch a local bus (line 37) to the Airport or Trogir. Bus runs every 20min during week, and every every half hour during weekends.
This, 1500 year old olive tree locally called Mastrinka, is oldest olive tree in Croatia.
The square serves as a green and a fish market as well as a stage for different performances and plays during the summertime.
Pebble beach in Kaštel Stari is very nice and fairly close to the apartment. It is well equipped and has also the ramp for the disabled.
Split airport is just 5 minutes away by car. All of the major car rental companies have their offices at the airport.
Historic city of Trogir is on UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. It is an excellent example of a medieval town that has conserved its urban fabric with the minimum of modern interventions.
Salona was capital of Roman province Dalmatia.
