Our rooms for rent (family hotel type) are located on the second floor of the beautyful old Palazzo of 1800s in the very heart of splendid Rome -- in via Nazionale. Each room is independent, has a private bathroom, is equipped with air conditioner, heating, minibar, tv, coffee machine, drinks and snacks. The apartment is at a short walking distance from the Quirinale Palace, the Trevi Fountain, The Imperial Forums, Via del Corso etc. The bus stop is a few steps away from the entrance, and the metro stop Cavour is a short walk away.
The Exhibition Palace is just a couple of hundred meters up the street. There is also a great theatre Teatro Eliseo a couple of passes up the street. Via Nazionale is one of the best shopping streets in Rome, the area is full of good aperitive and dining places for all kinds of tastes! The area Monti across the street is known for trendy going-out places, and Roman designers' boutiques. Colosseum is at 10 minutes walking distance... Come and enjoy!
Our guests have access to free WiFi, coffee machines (and snacks), day-time recption with tourist information in the main hall area.
We offer day-time recption services with all tourist information needed, and any help at any time you need.
We love the trendy quarter Monti right accross the street, we adore antiqueTraiano Markets right next to our Palazzo, and cultural and leasure moments the heart of Rome can offer.
Almost all main monments are at walking distance. You may need a bus to Vatican. The stop is outside the entrance. You can find some convenient parking on the street next to the building. There are buses and trains from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports to Termini Station. Then just a short ride by bus 40, H or 64 to our place, or by feet.
There is no elevator, so some stairs are to make efore you arrive to us.
A lovely vintage apartment. Huge bedrooms with high ceilings. A little updating required only in the bathrooms/kitchen. Fantastic location - walking distance to everywhere - even the Vatican! Trying to get on a bus is impossible, unless you enjoy being squashed against the bus doors..... Apartment clean and tidy. Would definitely stay again. Was met by Alisa's husband, Giovanni. A wonderfully helpful gentleman, with great ideas on eating/sightseeing
We stayed 3 nights at Sweet dreams and we had a wonderful time. The apartment is very close to a lot of things like fontana di trevi, coluseum and many good restaurants.
Alisa is a wonderful host and has a very good apartment in a great location! The traffic noise in bedrooms can be a little too much with the windows open but with windows closed it is fine. There are small stores right next to the apartment with basic supplies, water soda, etc. There is also a Conad supermarket 5-10 minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants also walkable. I would recommend this apartment for larger groups of four or more people and would stay with Alisa again.
This may be our fault, but when we rented we searched for "entire apartment/home" expecting an actual apartment. Sweet Dreams functions as a bed and breakfast or small hotel rather than a home. In my opinion, it is best rented room by room and not an entire space. The rooms were adequate, though dated; but there isn't a living area for a group to meet and talk comfortably. We were six old friends (over thirty years old) meeting in Italy for the first time in many years. It felt like we had to spend as many hours as possible out in the city because once we came back we had to go immediately to our separate rooms. Our hostess was very kind, and there were a number of people dedicated to the upkeep of the place, but it didn't work in the way we had expected. The kitchen(ette) is very small and does not have a refrigerator. Probably because there are minibars in each room; however, it wasn't very conducive to cooking at all. No problem to have our meals outside the house but we were looking for the whole apartment so that we might make breakfast and dinner together at some point. The bathrooms were clean but dated with extremely small shower areas. Our host mentioned a renovation was planned in the near future, which is nice but we were there now. The location is certainly fantastic, but if you are above a certain age and looking for a comfortable entire apartment, I don't feel this is for you. I think they've tried admirably hard and the hospitality is definitely there. Just rent room by room and not as a group. Also, we were booked for just three nights. Because of all of the above, I think short term stays are more feasible.
UPDATE: After posting the above constructive review, for which I was prompted many times by either Airbnb or our host, I would like to add that things turned quite sour. This was just my opinion of the place, which I believe was actually quite nice. I mention several times the lovely staff and how nice our host was. However, because she did not like my review, our host is now accusing us of stealing four euros from her minibar. Over a week after we left. Sweet Dreams was the worst part of our 10-day stay in Italy and I would never return.
I think if Bianca read our listing description with more attention she would be less confused. Our apartment does not function as b&b, we do not prepare breakfast, we do not live nearby, we rent it out as a whole place. Yet we have a licence, we pay taxes, and we have some rules and services, like daily cleaning, laudry service, etc. Yhere is a living area with a table and six comfy chairs, toeet, talk, and have meals. As one can see from the photos the kitchen is small, yet equipped completely. We have had guests of any age , even over 70, who have enjoyed the place.:)
We booked Sweet Dreams in the heart of Rome apparent for 4 nights, we had a great time, the apartment is just 5 min walk to the Fontana di Trevi. Alisa and Giovanni were very kind, my family flight got delayed for 5 hours and ended up arriving to the flat nearly midnight but Giovanni was there to do the check in. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to have a truly Roman experience.
Perfect location for our visit to Rome. Alisa's husband was there to meet us and he gave us a wonderful overview of Rome!!!! His love of Rome came through in telling us places to visit and eat. We were able to walk everywhere we went. It was so much fun meeting the whole family, one afternoon, when they brought things to the apt. If we ever return to Rome, we would stay there again.
THE APPARTMENT IS LARGE AND COUSY,VERY CLEAN AND THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT FOR TOURISTS.ALISA WAITED FOR US AND EXPLANED EVRYTHING.THER ARE SOME COFFIEE MACHINES AND THINGS FOR BREAKFASTS,THIS WAS VERY NICE.
Great place. We were really late arriving and Alisa's husband, Giovanni, waited for us and had a great attitude. They had keys for everybody. They provided maps, free coffee, free treats. Spacious and comfortable. Beautiful views, great location. Great air conditioning. Great restaurant recommendations. Giovanni spent a lot of time orienting us to the city and providing local insights. He even volunteered to call us a cab. The rooms were also very large. They provided mini refrigerators with drinks at very reasonable prices.
Wonderful location, terrific rooms, lovely hosts!
We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for our first trip to Rome. The apartment is five minute walk to the beautiful Trevi fountain (make sure you see it after dark!), a ten or maybe fifteen minute walk to the Colisseum, the Capitoline museum, and many beautiful churches and exhibits. Just cross the street and you are in the Monti district, with lovely streets and great restaurants. And great shopping, of course.
The apartment itself is very comfortable and extremely clean, with three very large and well-appointed and well-lit rooms, each with an air conditioner, a refrigerator, a queen bed, a view of the street below and lots of room for your things. There is also a small but convenient kitchen and two full baths, an espresso drink maker and lots of goodies for breakfast and snacks. A cleaner comes in every day to change sheets and clean the whole apartment.
Alisa and her a husband are absolutely charming and so helpful. We had to add another person to our group at the last minute and they were very accommodating and flexible. They also provided us with maps and information about what to see in Rome, which was especially helpful since this was our first trip.
We are already planning our next trip and would definitely stay here again!!
Had an amazing time in Rome! This apartment is a perfect place to stay - walking distance to the vast majority of the sites in Rome, and in a great location for food. We were seven adults and a baby and we had loads of space - rooms are clean and big, beds are comfy and Alisa and her husband were wonderfully helpful. Lots of snacks, espresso and other coffees at the push of a button. We all really enjoyed are stay and would stay here again.
