Where I went to school: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
My work: Frankie Flanders, Realtor® with HomeSmart frankieflanders_com
I was raised on the Four-Spear Ranch in Cochise, Arizona (a ghost town near the Mexico border). My childhood friends were a calf named Stegal, a goat named Blurp, a dog named Chi-Chi, and a rabbit named Earch. I was the valedictorian of my eighth-grade class (maybe I should mention I was the ONLY person in my class--no home schooling, just your basic small town public school). I left the little village of Cochise in 1988 and drove north to Prescott, where I attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and convinced someone to grant me a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science (which came with a complimentary commercial pilot's certificate). I worked in the airline industry for too many years--I spent more nights in hotels than I did my own home and realized it wasn't my idea of a happy life. Now I work for myself—I began consulting for a software company near Seattle, WA in 2003, and in 2007, I founded a professional marketing, project management, design and event production business. I recently moved back to Prescott and brought with me my partner and two fur-children (Finne and Bosch); they keep us pretty busy and make us very happy. I love to travel and see new places—I especially love to see how and where people live. I LOVE old architecture, bungalows and cottages. Drive me past the new neighborhoods and kick me out at a tiny cottage built in the late 1800s or early 1900s, and I will be a very happy camper. =) I have two rentals of my own: one cute Spanish-style casita in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. It stands in an old date palm/citrus grove from the 1920s; the second is a Santa-Fe style home (circa 1940s), located just off of Prescott's historic Park Avenue, just a short walk to/from Whiskey Row/Courthouse Square. Things I like? COFFEE. Wine!! Funny and kind people. CUTE cottages!
