It is a slice of heaven. Everywhere one looks is eye candy. You will NOT be disappointed.

Oh my! The clothes dryer should have been folded and put away long before you arrived! Thank you for letting me know. I will ask someone to take care of that right away. I so appreciate this information.
I am hoping to install lighting on the terrace per your suggestions as soon as I return in September and can find an electrician. It is a GREAT idea. Meanwhile, I often find that leaving the light on in the master bathroom on the first floor can be helpful to shed light on the terrace from above. Cheers!
Maison d'Etre is truely magical and enchanting. Perfectly located in a medieval village, we were surrounded by cobbled streets full of charming little artisan galleries and restaurants. The river is a short walk away for swimming, kayaking, or lazing around. The house has an incredible view over the valley, is rustic (authentically old!) but beautiful furnishings and linens make you feel very comfortable. The house comfortably fits 4 couples, each having their own privacy, space and bathroom. Kitchen/house is very well equipped (although why would you cook in France?!). Breakfast in the garden was a treat each morning, with passerbys looking enviously through the gate! Ann was the ultimate host, providing us with loads of info about the area over email before we left, and during our stay.
We couldn't recommend Maison d'Etre, or Ann more highly.
About the Host, Ann
I live on Mercer Island WA with my 2 dogs, 1 cat and 1 husband. I love to hula hoop, walk and practice yoga. I love France, the food, the countryside, the weather, the markets and the people. I could go on. My husband loves to cycle when we are there and has files he can provide on many of his favorite routes.
We want everyone to have an experience at Maison d'Etre that exceeds their expectations.
