  • Had a wonderful stay in Trisha's Granny Flat in Edge Hill! It was the perfect location for me to meet up with my son from Airlie Beach for a few nights stay. Very quiet end of town with a relaxing yard and the pool was a bonus! Bus just down the street to get into the City and a quick walk to some great places to eat. Trisha hooked us up with a great Tour operator and we booked a couple of tours and she also gave us some great info for places to eat, etc. We would highly recommend Trisha's place for a stay in Cairns! Hope to come back.

  • We had a fantastic stay! The flat was spacious and very clean. Trisha was a great host setting us up with a taxi for our early morning flight out and a travel company to book our day trips. Could not have asked for anything more!

  • The flat is a perfect retreat from the busy centre of Cairns. Trisha is welcoming and helpful - a truly genial host. We could not have found a better place to stay. Thank you Trisha

  • In a word...PERFECT! My visit to Cairns on this occasion was to find somewhere to live (my husband and I are relocating from Tassie) and I couldn't have found a better place to stay nor a better host than Trisha. The Granny Flat was extremely clean, well set out and very comfortable. And Trisha is one of the loveliest people I've met...she was a wealth of information, which was very handy considering my situation, and is very easy-going and made me feel right at home. Oh and Teddy is just the most adorable puppy :-) The property is located in a beautiful area of Cairns within walking distance of the Village (which has most conveniences) and the stunning Botanic Gardens, and a mere 10 minutes from the city. I will definitely be recommending Trisha's Granny Flat to all my family and friends for their next trip to Cairns.

  • I would not hesitate to recommed Trish's place as home base while you visit Cairns. The self contained flat was spotless, spacious and the pool was an added bonus. Even in her absence, Trish was a gracious host. Thank you Trish for yuor hospitaity.

  • Trisha's Granny Flat is located in the nicest suburb of Cairns. It's at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. The bus driver will drop you off at the end of her street if you ask him. It is a short walk to the stores and a few really good restaurants. The Botanical Gardens are also a short walk and should not be missed. With Trisha's help, I was able to find the best places to go and the best tour operators. I had 7 days in her immaculate home and beautiful yard. I was able to do and see everything I had planned to do and more! I highly recommend this host if you want class, comfort and convenience.

  • Trisha's granny flat is the perfect base for exploring Cairns. It's in a lovely quiet suburb with a bus stop nearby. We arrived really late and Trisha was kind enough to leave the lights on for us and sent directions of how to get there and into the house. It has everything you need for a stay, and the pool was a welcome retreat after a long day on the reef on a boat with lots of others!

  • I had a wonderful time at the granny flat. It was very comfortable, tidy and clean. Although I did not met Trisha in person she was a very welcoming and helpful host with everything. And besides the pool is absolutely awesome. One week in Cairns I will never forget. Thank you for everything Trisha.

  • Myself and my eldest daughter stayed in Trisha's granny annexe for 6 nights in December and had a lovely time. The annexe is basically in her back garden, but is totally self-contained, modern and stylish. There is one large double bed, a large sofa, tv, dressing room and bathroom (with a huge shower). The kitchenette was smaller than anticipated with a microwave (unfortunately not working properly), electric frypan, kettle and fridge freezer, no separate water (but you could fill a washing-up bowl from the bathroom). you can cook simple microwave food or salad, but you couldn't really prepare a full meal. This was not a problem for us, but worth mentioning. Tricias is (email hidden) from Cairns town so best to have a car, although there is a regular bus service from the end of the road. It is well located for visiting the northern beaches, palm cove etc, again by car. Tricia supplies bikes which was very handy to pop to local shops/coffee bars and apparently a lovely ride into town to the beach. The freshwater pool is clean and refreshing. Wifi is also provided which was very useful for us. Tricia herself is a wonderful host - very helpful (arranged cabs, provided lift to car hire co etc) and was good to know that my daughter had a 'local' on hand whilst I was away diving on the reef. The price was very reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tricia and her granny annexe to anyone who wants a 'home from home' base whilst exploring the area.
