We are located in Trastevere, one of the main jewels of Rome.
The area is known to be the biggest archeological place located inside of a urban space, and it's also a completely pedestrian area.
Just walking outside of your door you'll find plenty of typical restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, cinemas, artisans shops and the widest flea market you can find in Rome: Porta Portese. It's like being in a cute ancient little town, with a charm impossible to find elsewhere. Trastevere is also known to be the heart of the roman nightlife, and it offers every kind of holiday you're searching for: from relax to fun.
The building is located few meters from Viale Trastevere and Piazza San Cosimato, in a lovely tiny street. It was built in late '800 and it presents the typical structure of Medieval houses, with thick walls which help cooling the temperature in summertime, and keep the heat inside of the house in the winter season.
Our 45 square meters' suite has been recently renovated to offer you every kind of comfort.
You'll have light in every room, thanks to the big windows facing the neighborhood and the private cloister of the building, in order to assure you the proper privacy.
The suite is composed by
a lobby with a window that faces the lovely private cloister
a kitchen where you can find all that you need to prepare a delicious italian breakfast and every comfort you desire if you want to cook lunch or dinner (dishes, pots, coffee maker, electric oven, kettle)
a wide living room furnished with sofa and a big dining table (up to 6 people dining)
a lovely bedroom with a spacious cabinet
a tiny but lovely bathroom, where you can find the original ceiling from the late '800 and a real porthole as window
Linen and towels, central heating, ironing board and iron, vacuum cleaner, television set-top box and media player are also available.
The house may comfortably host from 2 to 4 people, thanks to the double sofa bed.
From the 6th floor you can also appreciate the amazing view of Rome, while having breakfast on the terrace.
In front of the entrance there's also a laundry and a parking, for the guests who want to use their car to visit Rome. The position of the house, however, allows you to reach every interest place, from Navona Square to Pantheon, from St.Peter Basilica to the Spanish Steps, simply by walking.
By reservation, we can also offer a taxi service, from the airports of Rome to the center and viceversa, exclusively for our guests.
We loved our stay at the Twins' House. It felt like living in a real neighborhood, and was the perfect base for exploring central Rome. There are frequent bus and trams on via Trastevere just one block away. At the corner of Via Trastevere and Via di San Francisco a Ripa there is a wonderful bakery and deli called Compagnia de Pane where we got fantastic bread and deli meats to make some delicious meals. There is a larger grocery store next door to the bakery, and a Carrefours a few doors from the apartment. The only caution would be the noise level. On a few nights the blues club (Big Mama) and outdoor dining for the. Greek restaurant on the. Vicolo were a bit noisy for those who might want to turn in early. However, we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and highly recommend this location. Simona was very responsive, and so warm and gracious.
Very nice apartment in the beautiful Trastevere with plent of restuarents and bars - loved it :) And Simona is a very helpful and nice host.
Thanks for a great stay.
Nous avons apprécié cette location pour le quartier qui est très agréable et accessible facilement pour les transports en commun.
L'appartement est agréable surtout la chambre avec un lit spacieux et de très bonne qualité.
A recommander !
This place is insanely perfect for Rome. The flat is situated right above an organic whole foods shop and 5 min wak from a really cool Piazza full of restaurants and bars. We walked everywhere from where we were, it was super convenient.
The flat itself is super, very big, clean, has a great shower and wonderful kitchen and the most comfy big bed.
I couldn't recommend this place any more. Simona is a gem-find. This place is an absolute bargain for what you get.
We had the most lovely stay in this apartment! Simona was so helpful and friendly and the apartment was beautiful. This is a great location, very safe with lots going on and easy to get to other parts of the city. Highly recommend!
We such a good stay at the Ripa! The apartment was a nice size for my husband and I, very close to bus stops, shops, and restaurants. (There is a great wine shop right around the corner).Simona was amazing.. giving us great restaurant suggestions and other tips.. (Pizzeria ai Marmi is AMAZING! we went there twice, thanks Simona.. best pizza we had). If we are every back in the area, we would definitely stay again!!
I needed a place to stay at the last minute in Rome, and Simona came to my rescue. She was very responsive, helpful and friendly over email. When I met her, she had a beaming smile on her face, and promptly explained where everything was in her apartment, which was one of the nicest and coziest place I've ever stayed in. If you are going to be in Trastevere, look no further. This apartment is very conveniently located. It's near a grocery store, a butcher shop, a deli, a cafe and the tram. Couldn't ask for a better spot!
We stayed at Simona's place for a weekend in January. Our stay in Rome was excellent and a great deal of it was thanks to our accommodation at Simona's apartment, we immediately felt at home there. Her place is perfect for a couple and it has all the comforts you may need. Especially if the outside temperature is around 6 degrees at night, yes even in Rome! So after long journeys of wandering around this beautiful city we definitely needed some comfort. Next door you'll find a very nice organic supermarket and across the street an amazing wine shop, perfect for the 'aperitivo' before going for a meal in the best area of Rome: Trastevere! What an amazing neigbourhood, we loved it! Also, try the bar around the corner on Via San Francesco a Ripa: perfect Italian breakfast!
The connection with Fiumicino Airport is good, it takes only 45 minutes to get from one point to the other. All the monuments are within a 15 minutes walk. We didn´t need any public transport.
Simona, thank you for the warm welcome and for your help the last day for storage of our luggage. Great place, if we ever go back to Rome we will certainly repeat.
The flat is situated in a nice neighborhood - it feels like living in Rome while also not being far away from key touristic attractions. We were two people and we felt it provided us enough space - with separate bedroom and a large living room. The kitchen is small but has all essentials to prepare breakfast and we also cooked a few times during our stay. It was nice that there were some basics already available such as salt, sugar, a few spices etc. so that one did not need to buy everything. The only downside of the flat is the bathroom, which is very narrow. For us it worked ok, but I guess that if you have fear of narrow spaces you will not feel so comfortable there. Overall we really enjoyed the flat. Also, dealing with Simona was great - she was always very fast to respond and very friendly. We would definitely consider staying there again if we are visiting Rome.
This lovely apartment felt like home. It has character and charm, and is fantastically situated near all the places I love to walk to while also feeling perfectly removed. Amenities all nearby and really fantastic access to the the less touristed parts of the city. Access to the hot spots also easy with nearby Tram 8 and buses running down viale Trastevere, but we're walkers so our feet were our main form of transportation. We even walked from the Trastevere train station to the apartment on our arrival day (30 min).
The neighborhood was lively, but quiet. The rooftop access was great at night. The apartment has many artistic aspects and is very welcoming.
Simona and Serena were very responsive to our pre-visit emails and extremely helpful. We were greeted warmly, the apartment was so clean and inviting and we were thrilled we could recycle and compost our waste! A home away from home!
We would return in a heartbeat!
