This charming four-bedroom, three-bath expanded Cape is located in a private, wooded setting. It is warmly decorated and fully equipped, with wireless internet. The master bedroom has a full bathroom in it with a wood fireplace. The large living room has lots of light, opens onto a patio and overlooks garden and woods. There is an outdoor shower in the back area. The home has four fireplaces -- in the dining area, master bedroom, living room, and even on the outdoor patio. It is only a minute's walk to a bike path.
Our home is open throughout the year and well cared for by our family and our caretaker. It has a homey feel with comfortable furniture and a family room with an exceptional library for readers with diverse interests.
We are near the end of Great Plains Rd. and 100 yards off the road by the national forest. It is private and surrounded by trees. Restaurants, shops, and supermarkets are nearby in West Tisbury and Vineyard Haven.
Guests will have access to Lambert's Cove Beach but will need to pay for a car sticker
Interaction with Guests
Our caretaker does most of the interacting with guests if there are questions.
Private, quiet, bike path for biking, walking, cycling easily accessible. Not far from stores in West Tisbury and Vineyard Haven.
No smoking. Put all trash (bottles and cans included) in bin and hook the bin on the wooden container so animals do not invade it.
This house suited my family's needs perfectly. Our 3 couples felt they had comfort and privacy. A great spot if you want a quiet secluded location. An easy ride from the ferry and the center of Vineyard Haven. Beautiful property.
The house was great and the setup was wonderful for a large group. Rooms are very separate and private while the common spaces are huge and the outdoor fireplace was a great entertaining spot. The host John was extremely responsive and helpful. The house was decently clean. The house was convenient to most things although set pretty far back on a small road which usually took a while to get down. All in all it was a great day and I would consider it in the future with a large group.
