Karrie and her family were splendid hosts - they have a clean, lovely home and I felt welcome and accommodated. The room was comfortable, a wonderful queen-sized bed, wi-fi, commodious closet and bathroom shared with her kids, which I loved. I woke to bird song and a breathtaking view through the window, and was able to do yoga in the sun streaming into the living room. I was able to come and go as I pleased, and work late which hopefully didn't disturb anyone. The sense of autonomy + space + family made this much more than a "cozy bedroom"... Never again will I endure the alienation of a hotel.
very comfy bedroom - exactly what I needed for my stay :)
The room: It was exactly as advertised - very clean, cozy and an awesome bed. Clean bathroom as well.
The location: Just a short walk for the Columbia City light rail, but walking up the hill may be difficult with big luggage. I had a car, and parking in the rear driveway was very convenient and safe.
The host: Kerrie and her entire family were very warm and welcoming.
I felt very comfortable staying there the whole week. This is my first Airbnb experience and I am certainly looking forward to more.
Very nice house. Clean and affordable. Very close to the light rail. Overall a great experience!
Karrie was a graceful host and the room was cosy. Shared living room was also useful and there's a nice view from the attached deck. Definitely recommended.
I am truly grateful for having had the opportunity to ta with Karrie and her family! I landed in Seattle and my original arrangements did not work out at all! Karrie responded quickly and provided me with the space that I needed - a place to just decompress and rest - in a beautiful 3-story home on a hill, overlooking the surrounding area, in a convenient location [a car really isn't that necessary]. Dinner was enjoyable, the conversation was just as wholesome, and I would definitely stay again...of course, when the weather warms up. ^_^
Karrie went out of her way to make me feel welcome in her lovely home during my 3-night stay in Seattle. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept great! Her family is large and welcoming to travelers, and they were respectful of my space and privacy. The bathroom is shared with her teenagers. The house is conveniently located near the Columbia City stop on the LINK light rail and is a short drive from downtown. Offstreet parking was a definite plus.
Karrie was able to accommodate us for a weekend on very short notice, and was super responsive throughout our stay even though we never got to meet in person. The room was set up perfectly, with fresh towels and sheets, lots of closet space and even an iPod console. Overall a comfortable and convenient stay - we couldn't have asked for more!
I stayed with Karrie back in October and was extremely happy with my choice. Her home is immaculate and Karrie and her family are warm, welcoming and respectful. Everybody goes to bed relatively early so I wasn't bothered by any noise when preparing for sleep. The bedroom itself is small but cute with a ridiculously comfortable bed. The house is located a few blocks from the high speed line and several bus lines, so my trips to and from the downtown area were easy. The neighborhood is cool and eclectic without being either obnoxiously trendy or risky. I would most definitely stay again!
Karrie and her family were very accommodating. The cozy bedroom in modern 3 story is located on a hill. However, public transportation to tourist attractions is within walking distance.
