Two adults sleep comfortably on the queen-sized bed; a small child can be accomodated with the fold-out futon.
The Blue Heron Guest House is a renovated workshop built at the turn of the twentieth century when Arizona’s copper boom was still in its heyday. The owners of the main house on the property maintained the workshop’s rustic exterior while fully renovating the interior to provide a charming, cozy hideaway in historic Clarkdale, Arizona, nestled in the Verde Valley between Jerome and the red rocks of Sedona.
The Blue Heron is a studio cottage with a queen bed, futon, private bathroom and shower, and a kitchenette. It comfortably sleeps two adults and can accomodate a small child as well.
NO smoking. NO pets. We are a small accomodation in a peaceful neighborhood; as such, we request that you please respect the quiet of our neighborhood. We do have an outdoor cat, we ask that you please not let him inside.
The Blue Heron guest house was a wonderful home base for excursions to Sedona and Old Town Cottonwood. The cottage was clean with all amenities, the bed was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the muffins and fruit. When visiting be sure to stop by Burning Tree Cellars and have breakfast at Crema in nearby Old Town Cottonwood.

Wonderful spot! Super close to cottonwood and clarkdale. A lovely getaway!
Very cozy guest house with all the right amenities. The hosts were wonderful, and the listing was just as described. Would return!
My Stay with Tom and Truly was truly fantastic. They were more than hospitable and extremely kind! The guest house itself, which I stayed one night in was lovely, clean, and cozy in a very unusually snowy winter. Would recommend to anyone!
Thank you to Tom for a wonderful stay! The cabin is charming and perfect for us! The space was perfectly clean and well stocked. The bed was comfortable. Tom was very accommodating and offered the use of his patio and a cozy fire. The location is ideal for driving between Cottonwood and Jerome, and just a short drive to Sedona for hiking. We had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again!
Tom greeted us by name when we drove up to the Guest House and made us feel right at home. The online description was accurate. The location is a very quiet one, on the edge of Clarkdale, but very convenient for the surprising (to us) amenities of Cottonwood. It is also easy to get to Sedona, Jerome, Camp Verde and many more local attractions.
The Guest House is very comfortable and very quiet. Two comfortable rocking chairs on the front porch were a wonderful way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Tom and Truly also gave us free rein in their delightful back yard.
We were provided with fruit, muffins and water, and the Guest House had more than enough electrical outlets for all our computers and phones. Tom provided good wifi access as well.
We called Tom ahead of time, and he gave good directions that confirmed our (website hidden) Map search.
Blue Heron Guest House will certainly be on our short list for accommodations if we return to the area.
Tom was a kind and gracious host and he gave a few wonderful suggestions about what to do in the nearby area. The rental was incredibly clean and had many additional amenities such as shampoo/conditioner, bottled water, and fresh fruit. I look forward to returning one day!
As residents of Clarkdale, Arizona for over thirty years, we had the Blue Heron Guest House restored by local craftsmen from a turn of the century workshop to provide travelers with a home away from home tucked quietly in the heart of the Verde Valley.
