Enjoy nature and simplicity in our cozy insulated camping yurt in the beautiful countryside near Riga. Sauna is for extra 40eur and if you are looking for experience, we offer Latvian sauna rituals and other procedures. There is cold outdoor shower to use after sauna. Hot tub is available for extra 70eur, but needs to be reserved at least 3 days before arrival.
This is quiet camping for those who seek peace! No party and no music on loudspeakers.

The space
A tiny yurt 16m2 to keep it cozy and warm with an indoor composting toilet. The entrance and toilet area is with low ceiling, but higher than a traditional yurt. Enjoy view to the fields from the bed and, if you are lucky, you could even spot deers, foxes or rabbits.

EQUIPMENT. In the Yurt is everything what you could need for your stay. King size bed (or 2 single beds on request) with bed linen, towels, extra blankets, books and board games (our best selection is handed on request- you can ask in advance for the list), tableware, cups, coffee and tea, knife, wine bottle opener.

COOKING. There is no kitchen, only electric kettle. We suggest to bring food that you do not have to cook or to pour the water on top or cook on the grill (bring coals with you) or bonfire. Breakfast (10eur/ pers) and dinner (a la carte) are possible to book at our neighbours "Gulbju saimniece Ginta" accross the road (10 min walk).

HEATING. Wood burning stove with briquettes, firestarters, matches are provided. In autumn, winter and spring we are providing special night briquettes which will keep the place warm for up to 8 hours.

SAUNA. We do not have a running water and there is no hot shower, so sauna is a place to cleanse your body and mind. :)

You can use cold outdoor shower or bring the water in sauna room to rinse yourself after sweating.

COMPOSTING TOILET - we use diverter to eliminate odors, therefore it is sit only. It is inside the yurt and being emptied after every guest, but there is another one outside next to the sauna.

FOR PET OWNERS. We are pet friendly place but you need to add your pet on a guest list. Dogs are not allowed in the bed. If your dogs paws are muddy, please clean them before entering the yurt. And please pick up poop after your dog in the territory or take him/her for a walk in the forest.

Guest access
Last part of the road is unpaved. The road passes yurt- you can stop by it and unload your luggage, but car must be parked in the parking area which is 150m further. This road is used also by other guests of our campsite (there are 3 accommodations in total).

Other things to note
Only paid campsite guests are allowed on premises. No parties!

Breakfast and/ or dinner available at our neighbor’s farm across the road (approximately 10 min walk from accommodation). Traditional Latvian cuisine and international. Breakfast 10 eur/ pers. Dinner a la carte (prices 5 - 15 eur). Advance booking is required.

Where you’ll be

Forest, meadow, swamp... All living nature is around. You will like this place if you like spending time in the nature with all its perks (there are mosquitoes, horse flies, foxes, snakes, ticks etc.) and if you know that "there is no bad weather only inappropriate clothing".
Closest swimming pond is 3km walking distance from the yurt, but you will find nicer beach in 12km drive to Pīļu lake. In the surroundings (10-15km away) are beautiful scenic hiking routes.
If you enjoy skateparks, then there are 4 pumptracks, 3 skateparks in 10-20 km driving distance. And the best thing about them- they are mostly almost empty.
For the winter: closest skiing slope and cross-country skiing track is only 10km away.
