The apartment is (website hidden) was easy to find and Michel took some time to get me acquainted when I arrived. It's nicely decorated and I liked having the espresso machine, didn't stay long enough to use much else. The neighborhood itself is great and located in a central spot in Montreal. I'd love to come back, definitely want to check out the bistro below the apartment next time!
Everything you could want or need in a perfect housing! Beautifully furnished cozy home, every appliance you would possibly need at hand, comfortable bed, bathroom, hair dryer etc. Michel was an amazing host and went as far as to provide us with more than enough possible itineraries to enjoy Montreal, as well as how to get there and how to enjoy them. Would love to stay here again whenever we are in Montreal:)
Wow! The apartment was exactly as it is pictured & even better! Michel and Johanne were very accommodating. We arrived early & Michel went out of his way to provide an overview of the city and the amenities of the apartment and in the neighborhood. If you enjoy walking, this apartment is within walking distance of many restaurants, jazz & blues bars not to mention the Bistro downstairs. Subway is fast, convenient, and safe. The park nearby alllows for physical activity or relaxation. We would love to return in the future.
This is a great a little apartment in an excellent location. Michel was very nice and helpful. We highly recommend for comfort and ease.
The apartment is wonderful just as described. Michel was more than willing to share recommendations on sites to see in town and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. I would certainly suggest this apartment to a couple who wanted to enjoy a few days in Montreal.
Michel and the apartment were absolutely great! He could not have been kinder and the apartment was exactly as pictured and described by Michel and commenters. We hope to stay there again on our next trip to Montreal. Thank you, Michel.
The apartment was exactly as described, is in an ideal location for exploring the city, and the bistro downstairs makes an awesome breakfast. The parking spot was also a huge plus, because parking in a city can be a pain sometimes. The apartment itself was great: Michel has the place stocked with all the amenities you would usually find in a hotel, with the suprise bonus of a washer and dryer (which was great to have because our clothes would get wet being out in the snow). Michel is the man; he gave us an awesome primer on all of the fun stuff to do in Montreal and had a stack of city and transit maps for us. All in all it was a great experience. I would highly recommend that anyone looking to explore the city stay here.
This is a perfect place for a couple or small family. My husband, myself, and our 8-month-old baby stayed in this cozy studio for three days just before Christmas and it was a perfect base to discover Le Plateau neighborhood. It was a short walk (even in the snow!!) to Sherbooke station so it is very accessible to the rest of the city. Inside the studio, there is everything you can ever need - washer and dryer (with a baby, it was great to have this!), microwave, dishwashing machine, an espresso machine (omg - never realized how vital this machine could be), flat-screen TV, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, nice roomy refrigerator - and all the appliances worked nicely! I really cannot complain about this cozy place. Clean and convenient, this place is highly recommended. And Michel and Johanne are wonderful hosts!! We plan to come back in the summer and will be sure to book this apartment!!
Our stay at Michel's was wonderful. It is a great little place in a perfect location. Michel was very helpful as a host. I would recommend this place without hesitation, and we would certainly stay there again if we made another trip to Montreal.
This was our first reservation with an airbnb host and we weren't disappointed!
Michel's apartment was essentially exactly as described on airbnb. We also found most of the comments from previous guests to be accurate in their description, this gives us confidence in making future bookings!
In regards to our opinion of the apartment, it suited us ideally, it is located in a nice quiet street, above a very nice little restaurant that services locals, and is really only short walking distance to multiple interesting streets and areas, and is less than 10 minutes to two local subway stations, Sherbrooke and Mont Royal.
The apartment had all of the appliances we required, and after Michel had shown us the little idiosyncrasy of the front loading washing machine we were able to use them all.
The only slightly negative comment I would make is that we would have preferred a slightly larger bed, the double bed is just a little small for us but, I would not let that stop me from booking the apartment again.
As other guests have noted the winding staircase could be a little problematic for some not so agile guests with heavy luggage but, it only has to be negotiated twice, once up and once down! And I am certain that Michel would assist if required.
We really enjoyed the fact that we felt embedded in the local community, away from the common tourist areas, which is exactly what we wanted.
In regards to Michel we could not have asked for any more from him. On our arrival he spent more than an hour going over the city and recommending things to see and do.
Michel also took me for a short sightseeing tour in his car through the city and up and over Mont Royal, stopping at a couple of lookouts on the way. He went out of his way to make us both feel comfortable, and to help us get the most out of his home city of Montreal. In this he succeeded.
Merci Beaucoup Michel!
