Hosting visitors since 1992 (and on the world wide web since 1994), The Carriage House Bed & Breakfast offers cozy, affordable bed-and-breakfast accommodation in a Victorian era NON-SMOKING home located in a quiet residential neighbourhood just TWO BLOCKS from Downtown Victoria, B.C., close to museums, the Inner Harbour, and the British Columbia Parliament Buildings; one block to beautiful Beacon Hill Park, three blocks to the Victoria Conference Centre; wireless internet, free on-site parking. So close, you do not need a car!
"The Carriage House Cottage," is a separate structure originally built to house horse drawn vehicles. It has been tastefully renovated in a style reflecting its former use and features a large tiled bath with multiple shower heads, jacuzzi tub, kitchenette, microwave, flat screen TV/DVD, etc. It has a beautiful queen-size Murphy Bed bed on the main floor which conveniently folds into the wall for more daytime space. Another queen-size bed is in a large sleeping loft reached by a captain's ladder. A couch on the main floor converts to a comfortable single bed ( Please note: this cozy layout does not provide complete privacy among your entourage the way separate rooms would do. If your group requires that you are better off to rent our two rooms in the main house ).
A delicious breakfast is served in the dining room of The Carriage House B&B between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. You may have eggs (& ham), French toast (pain doré), or cereal. All are served with a fresh fruit cup, whole grain toast, tea, coffee, milk, or juice.
PLEASE NOTE: Canada Goods & Services tax (5%) not included on prices shown. We may require a minimum two-night stay for certain holidays and weekends.

Stayed in the carriage house cabin. Enjoyed chatting with Dan and his family, including his young boy Tom (future guitarist). The carriage house has one main room with a loft up a ladder. We had some challenges getting wifi at first but Dan made some adjustments and made sure it got taken care of. The beds were great and made for a very comfortable stay.
Although we never got to meet Dan & Naoko, (our travel arrangements fell through due to inclement weather) I cannot speak more highly of them. Dan was very understanding about our predicament, in our no-fault flight cancellation, and did not charge us for the rental, even though we had infringed upon the cancellation notification timeline. He even helped open a support ticket to help us have our booking resolved through airbnb! Would definitely go back to them, hopefully more succesfully :)
We were with Dan and Naoko for a single night. We arrived at the house a little bit early in the day, and spent the afternoon exploring the area around Victoria. Our room was ready a little bit earlier than advertised which was very nice, it was clean and very pleasant. We didn't try the TV. The only very minor downside was that the room took a little bit of time to warm up as the weather was unseasonably cold in Victoria during our trip.
Breakfast was very good, I had eggs, toast and ham while my wife had french toast, and ham. When we left to explore for the day they let us leave our bags with them, which was very helpful for our trip.
Overall this was a very nice experience. Dan and Naoko were nice and helpful while also letting us have our own space. The house is within walking distance of the ferry from Seattle, and they're very nice hosts.
The Carriage House was lovely. Particularly enjoyed the very large, open shower. Everything was clean, the location was very convenient, and you get complimentary breakfast by a woodstove! Would definitely stay here again.
Dan and Naoko were gracious hosts, breakfast was delicious, and the location was perfect: a quick (and lovely) walk down Government street gets you to the center of Victoria. Would absolutely stay again!
Dan and Naoko (and Tom) were super friendly, responsive, and accommodating (we are gluten-free and they made us delicious GF breakfasts).
We absolutely loved the carriage cottage not only because it was cute and clean, but also because it is in such a wonderful location to explore beautiful Victoria. Highly recommended.
The cottage is cozy and quiet, conveniently located within easy walking distance of downtown and Beacon Hill Park. The owners are gracious and helpful. We felt comfortable and at home.
Dan and Naoko are extraordinarily gracious hosts. The location of the Carriage House is perfect for seeing downtown Victoria. Their breakfasts were superb and they were very accommodating to our special requests. The Cottage House is great for sleeping quarters, but not large enough to "hang out". Assuming you are there to see Victoria and not the inside of your sleeping quarters, then this is perfect for you!
Lovely little cottage, perfect for our family and close to downtown Victoria. Dan and Naoko were great hosts and managed to balance being available and helpful whilst allowing us the space to get on and do our own thing. Great location, would highly recommend.
Four of us made a last-minute plan to visit Victoria. Naoko and Dan were very accommodating! Our Australian guests were impressed with the price, quality, and convenenience of the Carriage House. We would absolutely stay there again! Even more impressive, after a comfortable night, we enjoyed a fabulous custom breakfast. Delicious! Other guests were repeat customers who also raved about the whole experience. Felt like family!
