Hosting visitors since 1992 (and on the world wide web since 1994), The Carriage House Bed & Breakfast offers cozy, affordable bed-and-breakfast accommodation in a Victorian era NON-SMOKING home located in a quiet residential neighbourhood just TWO BLOCKS from Downtown Victoria, B.C., close to museums, the Inner Harbour, and the British Columbia Parliament Buildings; one block to beautiful Beacon Hill Park, three blocks to the Victoria Conference Centre; wireless internet, free on-site parking. So close, you do not need a car!
"The Carriage House Cottage," is a separate structure originally built to house horse drawn vehicles. It has been tastefully renovated in a style reflecting its former use and features a large tiled bath with multiple shower heads, jacuzzi tub, kitchenette, microwave, flat screen TV/DVD, etc. It has a beautiful queen-size Murphy Bed bed on the main floor which conveniently folds into the wall for more daytime space. Another queen-size bed is in a large sleeping loft reached by a captain's ladder. A couch on the main floor converts to a comfortable single bed ( Please note: this cozy layout does not provide complete privacy among your entourage the way separate rooms would do. If your group requires that you are better off to rent our two rooms in the main house ).
A delicious breakfast is served in the dining room of The Carriage House B&B between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. You may have eggs, French toast (pain doré), or cereal (hot or cold). All are served with a fresh fruit cup, whole grain toast, and beverage (tea, coffee, milk, juice). Special dietary requirements can usually be accommodated (please let us know in advance).
PLEASE NOTE: Canada Goods & Services tax (5%) not included on prices shown. We may require a minimum two-night stay for certain holidays and weekends.

My girlfriend and I had a short stay here, but we had a great time. The Cottage was very cozy and Dan and Naoko were wonderful hosts. We would definitely stay here again.
Staying at this location was ideal. We did not have much interaction with the hosts. We also screwed up our booking regarding the number of people. As such it made things more awkward then need be.
Dan and Naoko were very accommodating and welcoming. They suggested places to go and allowed us to check in early and hold our bags and small bag of groceries on our check out day until we were ready to leave Victoria later that day. The carriage house was roomy and the sleeping loft was fun, can imagine it would be great in the summer as it has that casual cabin/cottage feel. Unfortunately did not get to use the fabulous jetted tub! Will have to next time! They also stretched the breakfast hours for us so we could have a sleep in and the brunch was great, got us going for the day. We would definitely come back!
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the carriage home. The place was cozy, squeaky clean and unique, and we were even welcomed with a bright bouquet of fresh tulips! Dan and Naoko were attentive and caring hosts, and the breakfast in front of the crackling fire place was delicious and beyond our expectations. We highly recommend the carriage home.
Lovely accommodation in a great location. Dan and Naoko were perfect hosts and make wonderful breakfasts. :)
What a quiet, beautiful little corner of a wonderful city! Dan and Naoko are fabulous hosts and really made us feel welcome. They were very helpful, making it possible for us to catch our ferry out the next morning. I'm honestly not sure what we'd have done without them! A last-second scheduling hiccup with the ferry lines left us wondering how to cope and Naoko knew just how to advise us. We need to go back for a longer stay so we can enjoy the cottage better! Our little taste of it really left us wanting more! It was really comfortable, but the bathroom was what really impressed us! I think it'll be worth the drive back just for a chance to soak in that tub! If you're looking for a location that will put you within walking distance to everything great in Victoria, look no further! I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else in that city again!
Dan and Naoko were very kind and accommodating hosts. Everything was just as advertised. The carriage house was perfect for 4 friends and the location was unbeatable. Breakfast was filled with friendly and relaxed conversation with interesting and unpretentious people.

Welcome to our charming Victorian home, built well over a hundred years ago.
Naoko (born and raised in Kyoto, Japan,) and Dan (an Appalachian hillbilly) are a happily married couple (15 years), delighted to live by the sea on magical Vancouver Island. Operating The Carriage House Bed & Breakfast since 1992 we are proud to have many repeat customers.
Aside from attending Victoria's myriad cultural venues and happenings we enjoy travelling, music, gastronomy (at home and out), horseback riding, ice skating, and swimming.
We invite you to come and share our beautiful island city with us!
