PLEASE NOTE: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO HAS INSITUTED A 12% BED TAX. THIS IS WHY I HAVE RAISED THE PRICE OF THE BUNGALOW TO $115 PER NIGHT!
Lovely 750 square foot new construction bungalow with beautiful views and fireplace. It's a wonderful romantic getaway. It includes a large 250 sq. ft. balcony. The bungalow is about 30 steps up from street level, located behind and above the main house, which i live in. The living area is quite large with full bathroom and shower. A closet for clothing and storage along with a microwave and refrigerator are included. There are 2 skylights which also open from the living area. There are two large picture windows which offer expansive views. The property is gated with a digital combination lock for security. Street parking is available. Cable TV is provided along with surround sound stereo and a DVD player. There is also Wi-Fi connection for the internet. There is a lot of art and beautiful furniture to give you a sense of comfort and warmth. Lush vegetation surrounds the property that will make you feel that you are in the midst of nature. Rest under the French gazebo or stretch out on the hammock. it's all waiting for you.
Although the bungalow is close to Cal Poly, I typically walk downtown which is less than 2 miles and takes about 25 minutes, on a mostly flat city streets. Driving time is 5 minutes or less.
I'm new to airbnb, but I have been putting up musicians and artists passing through San Luis Obispo for years and have had many great experiences, with my guests! My goal is to make you comfortable and happy during your stay in San Luis Obispo!
Thank you for considering me in your search for a great place to stay.
Jeff's place was just perfect! The bungalow was clean, spacious, artfully decorated, and private. Jeff was welcoming, helpful, and available to answer questions. This was our first AirBNB experience and it couldn't have gone better. We hope to be back!
Jeff's beautiful bungalow lived up to our expectations. It is bright and spacious; the bed is comfortable; the fireplace creates a cozy environment; the decor includes many original works of art and crafts. Jeff is a kind and generous host. We are quite independent travelers but felt that he was prepared to go out of his way to help us if needed. The bungalow's location was convenient to our favourite activities: hiking, golfing, dining, visiting wineries.
My girlfriend and I have stayed at Jeff's house ("the bungalow" as we call it in everyday conversation) twice now and have had a blast both times. Jeff and Sky are a joy to visit with and the location of his home is very convenient for the university and rest of the city. The space itself is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable.
We don't even look around when we want to come down to SLO. We had straight for the bungalow.
We had a wonderful stay in Jeff's Bungalow! We arrived on a somewhat chilly day, and Jeff had the fireplace going before we got there! It was perfect! The Bungalow is spacious and cozy at the same time, and is full of interesting art and good reads. Jeff was an amazing host, checking in every so often to make sure all was well. San Luis Obispo is one of our very favorite towns...we go there often, and we'd love to stay in the Bungalow again!
Jeff's place was amazing - he and his partner were such excellent hosts. The location we perfect, with a great sunset view and 5 minutes from everything. Easy street parking, a comfortable bed, huge space and an awesome, cozy fireplace which I curled up by every night :)
The space is so well decorated and outfitted, it was such a pleasure to be in aesthetically as well. Thank you Jeff!!
A wonderful place to stay and an excellent host. Spacious, art filled (like more than 100 individual pieces of glass, photos, and paintings), gas fireplace for cuddling/reading/heat, big windows with excellent views. Very good value.
We had a wonderful stay in Jeff's bungalow. My wife and I were in SLO for a long week-end. We wanted a relaxing, secluded place to stay and the bungalow was perfect.
It's located at the rear of Jeff's house, which is on a residential street near campus. SLO is a college town, so we occasionally heard some faint noise from the "student activities" in the vicinity. It was white noise to us, but might trouble those who are more sensitive. Jeff has a lovely terraced back yard and the bungalow is set above the house on a small hill. There are a few steps involved, so those with physical limitations should inquire with Jeff before reserving. The bungalow has a very nice view of the hills around SLO and faces West, so it's great for sipping some wine and watching the sunset.
The interior of the bungalow is clean and spacious. There is a room-sized walk-in closet with a mini-fridge. My wife was a big fan of the fireplace, which provides a cozy, romantic spot to enjoy a nightcap. There is plenty of art and reading material, if you're so-inclined.
Jeff and his wife were very gracious hosts. It was clear that they considered us guests, rather than boarders. However, they did not infringe on our space one bit. Jeff was extremely responsive from start to finish. He connected with us via phone and email prior to our arrival, to make sure we had the directions we needed. He also left a list of helpful tips for our stay in the bungalow.
I would highly recommend Jeff and his bungalow. I'll certainly keep it in mind for my next trip down.
I had a wonderful stay at Jeff's Bungalow. It is beautifully appointed with a great view. Jeff is a great hosts with good tips and a welcoming demeanor. I really enjoyed my stay in SLO!
Jeff's bungalow is a very artsy, warm place, completely detached from his house, but sharing the beautiful garden. The place was very clean and tastefully decorated. It is situated in a nice neighborhood, within walking distance to downtown. Jeff was a wonderful host, very friendly, yet very careful to respect your privacy. If you are the type of person that enjoys a meaningful conversation, you found the perfect host. We have fond memories of our long conversation over the delicious breakfast. We would definitelly stay there again. Thank you, Jeff, for everything. We now have a new friend in San Louis Obispo!
We stayed with Jeff for one week over the Christmas holidays and could not have enjoyed our stay more. As others have noted, pictures do not do justice to the space Jeff has carefully and lovingly created. It is warm, cozy, spacious and so relaxing. We just wanted to hang around the bungalow all day.
Jeff is an ideal host. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, showed us genuine hospitality, and was very respectful of our privacy. We had a great time getting to know Jeff and had the opportunity to spend a morning with him and his partner, speaking about everything from global events to local news.
We left refreshed and with two new friends. It was the perfect airbnb experience.
