Although Leonardo wasn't there in person to welcome us, this was not a problem as a very competent, friendly and helpful receptionist was available all the time. The room was as advertised, with a very comfortable Queen-sized bed! Breakfast was basic, but ample.
The location was fantastic. Although we could have taken a train from the airport, our 25 hour trip from Australia left us exhausted, so we took a shuttle instead (EUR20 each). The location is close to the train station; safe and with numerous shops. We walked most places.
Everyone speak a good English and it was simple to be understood by the staff.
The hostel is nice located in one the biggest street of Roma.
The room was simple, clean and big. The breakfast was good and I liked the yogurt.
The wi-fi was a little bit slow and sometimes i needed to reboot the modem to restore the connection.
This was an good choice for staying in central Rome, within walking distance of all major sites, and without spending a small fortune on a more upscale hotel. We were looking for a place to sleep comfortably between or many outings and this filled the requirement nicely. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly and having someone on site 24 hours was a real plus. The scale or elevator was an experience in itself once we figured out how to work it, and saved the need to haul our suitcases up those long stairs - bravo!
The room was clean, nicely arranged, and our bed was very comfortable after long days of walking on Rome's cobble stone streets. Our room was extremely quiet and looked over a central courtyard. The extra blackout panels on the windows were a real plus on those rare mornings when we wanted to sleep in a little longer. The breakfast offerings were typical for Europe and more than sufficient. The cafe machine with its many choices was an extra surprise.
There were several nice places to eat within 2 blocks, especially on the side streets which had better local food for less money. The walk from Termini could not have been more than 15 minutes and the Metro station was only about 5 minutes away. We even walked to St Peter Square in about 40 minutes one morning just to enjoy the city and it's thousands (or so it seems) of churches and historical sights. This location met all our needs and we would stay here again.
This is a small hotel. We arrived in the early hours and had minimum problems in waking the night porter.
My husband and I had a good experience at Leonardo's B&B. The staff was very accommodating when we arrived early and was very helpful with recommendations with sightseeing, etc. the breakfast was good and the rooms were comfortable.
My boyfriend and I had a good stay at Leonardo's. It's actually a small hotel, which was fine for us, and the rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The location was ok but a bit of a walk to the main attractions, shopping and good restaurants. The only real issue we had was that the day receptionist didn't speak great English and didn't seem to know the city very well, so we were given incorrect directions on the best way to get to the Vatican. Overall it was still good value for money though, considering our room was a lot cheaper than many of the other hotels I'd looked at.
