The Space
Apartment (4-6 people) located 50 m from the dike and 50 m from a tram stop; 300 m from the town center and its commercial area. Free parking area less than 300m from the apartment.
Ground floor (just 2 steps to be taken).
Composed of :
* Ground floor (completely renovated): a living room (TV, DVD player, sofa-bed (for 2 persons), table, chairs), a kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge, oven combined with a microwave, dishes and kitchen equipment), a small bathroom (shower, washbasin, WC), a mezzanine bedroom for 2 people with TV and DVD player;
* Basement (NOT REFURBISHED, completely private and direct access from the apartment) furnished with beds (one double bed and two bunk beds).
Paid parking in the street, but free of charges at 300 m from the apartment.
Rental:
Excluding Belgian school holidays : midweek opportunities (4 nights), weekend (2 nights), week (7 nights), per night (off season) minimum 2 nights.
Belgian school summer holidays (July and August) minimum 5 nights must be booked.
Cleaning : 25€. It is understood that even if the cleaning is done right after you leave, on your departure, the apartment must be tidy, in a normal state of cleanliness, trash deposed of, oven and fridge clean, dishwasher empty. Additional/exceptionnal work of the cleaning service will be charged.
CLEANING MUST BE PERFORMED BY TENANTS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.
A DEPOSIT OF 150 EUROS IS PAYABLE. This is refunded shortly after your departure, unless damages or apartment returned unclean.

RULES
The keys will be available to tenants at 6 pm on the day of their arrival and they will be returned them at 2 pm the day of departure.
It is understood that even if the cleaning is done right after you leave, on your departure, the apartment must be tidy, in a normal state of cleanliness, trash deposed of, oven and fridge clean, dishwasher empty. Additional/exceptionnal work of the cleaning service will be charged.
Cleaning products are available but if ever the tenant finishes a bottle, please replace it for the next people.
Pets are allowed on exceptional agreement of the owner.
The tenant agrees to respect the leased property and its contents, and respect the other occupants of the building and the neighborhood.
The tenant agrees to use energy rationally.
A universal remote is expensive, loss or breakage of a remote control (TV or DVD) will result in a minimum charge of 50 euros.
The tenant is not allowed to sublet the apartment.
If you notice any damage upon arrival, please contact the owner within an hour.
The apartment is NON SMOKING ...
UPON YOU ARRIVAL, snap the two fuses next to the water heater (basement, little room on the left of the window) to put it ON (a little red light lights up underneath the boiler), and read the operating instructions for the electric appliances (red folder).
To use the TV and DVD player in the living room, put the multiple sockets behind the TV on 'ON' (red switch).
The toilet flush runs a little, thank you to "close" the valve between each use.
The fridge should be turned off when you leave (set to 0) and be left open.
The entrance of the building cannot be hindered and should be cleaned regularly.
Outside the periods of use, the shower door in the basement must remain open.
A broken glass (or cup ...), it happens to everyone and it not a big deal, but please, notify the owner so as not to bother the followers.
Trash bags of the town "De Panne" should be used (purchase possible by the piece in some shops).
If the heater is off, and it’s gets cold, you can get it going again by setting the button'II' on and to turn off by putting the button on '0' (do not turn off the heater between December 15 and March 15). The heater is in the basement on the right side of the window. The thermostat is on the main level, on the wall between the kitchen and the living room.
When you leave, make sure that you :
- Turn off the fridge and leave the door open to it (please put a towel in front);
- set off the 2 fuses of the water heater;
- DO NOT TRIGGER OTHER FUSE;
- Turn off the heater (except between December 15 and March 15);
- Place the heating thermostat on 5 °;
- Set ALL valves of the radiators on '*';
- Leave the basement door open;
- Close the valve on the flush (toilet);
- Leave open the door between the toilet, the shower room and the kitchen;
- Ensure that there is at least one roll of toilet paper, two tablets for the dishwasher, cleaning product;
- Turn off all the lights and multiple socket the TV;
- Close all valves correctly;
- Remove all rubbish;
- Close windows and shutters.
In case of damages, if the amount of compensation is greater than the deposit, the tenant agrees to pay the cost of repairs upon presentation of an invoice.

It's a really nice apartment to stay in De Panne. We really loved the well-equipped kitchen to cook our meals, it's within 5minutes walking distance from everything you need (beach, shops, restaurants, public transport, etc.). The pickup and return of the key was really easy in the close-by restauant and communication with Pascal was good also. There was no smell at all in the basement-bedroom, despite the other reviews I read, so I guess that problem is solved. The basement doesn't look as nice as the rest of the apartment at all, but well, it's only to sleep, not to hang out. The only thing we did regret were the matrasses, especially the matrass in the livingroom. It's really old and quite dirty, and one of us got swollen eyes from it on the next morning. For future guests, bring double bed sheets for your personal hygien and health ;) There's also no Wi-Fi available, something we were surprised about, since we considered that as normal. Therefor we also couldn't understand the house-description, because it was all in French and we couldn't find a way to translate it and our knowledge of the French language wasn't good enough. But it really was a nice stay, and I can recommend the house to other guests, they just have t take some things in mind while organizing their trip.

Merci à Marlise pour ce commentaire. Je suis néanmoins étonné car même si la majorité des instructions sont en français, les modes d'emploi des appareils (four, chaudière, chauffe-eau ...) sont également en anglais. Il n'y a en effet pas e Wifi, c'est la raison pour laquelle Wifi n'est pas stipulé dans la rubrique "équipement" de l'appartement.

Kind and easy communication. Position of the appartment is perfect. Not 50 meters but very near apprx. 300 meters from the beach. The kitchen and bath are nearly new and good equipped. Unfortunately the highbed has not enough space for growed people because it's about 60 cm from the ceiling. Our kids had a lot of fun there. A big issue ist the cellar which is not renovated, has a big problem with molder and the heating is installed there. if you need hot water you have to activate the heating which causes a lot of heat in this "room". My wife and i slept in the kitchen for the booked 3 nights. Not nice.

Merci pour ce commentaire. Je ne pense pas que la plage se trouve à 300 m vu qu'il suffit de traverser la rue et on se trouve déjà sur la rampe d'accès. Je suppose que Thorsten veut dire qu'il a dormi dans le canapé-lit dans le salon car il n'y a pas de possibilité de dormir dans la cuisine. Pour information, le chauffe-eau ne dégage pas de chaleur mais je suppose que Thorsten veut parler de la chaudière que l'on n'allume que lorsqu'il fait froid; dans ce cas cette chaleur est agréable ;-) . Pour information, la chaudière est sans danger.

I rented the apartment for 2 nights with 3 other friends. Pascal always replied with exhaustive and fast replies. The apartment is exactly as described and the location is very nice: one minute from the beach, supermarkets everywhere (open even on Sunday), parking site in front of the house free in the night and very close free parking at 5 minute on foot. On the first day we visited Bruges that is about an hour far from De Panne. It was a very good option, as when we were in De Panne it always rained and staying at the beach was a little too wet :) The apartment is nice, clean and comfortable, the water might take some time to get warm once you have turned on the boiler, but everything went perfect. The best is the kitchen: we just cooked at home as it was completely furnished with even new dishwasher and super technologic hoven. The room is not very big, but there’s space enough for everyone. We stayed only in the ground floor, as the smell in the basement was a little intensive, even with open window.

Apartment as described, good value for money would definitely recommend for a short stay in the area. Right off the beach (50 metres no more) and very close (but far enough away from!) the activities of the nearby caravan park (mini golf etc). Pascal was quick to respond and easily contactable. Only issues we had were getting the boiler to heat the water so cold showers all round, and the damp in the basement room. Would recommend and stay again if visiting this area
