About this listing
Large one bedroom apartment with full living room, dining room, piano, back deck, full kitchen with washer and dryer. Steps to Pearl Street shops in a lovely boulder neighborhood.
My apartment is located on beautiful Mapleton Avenue in central Boulder. The location is excellent, with parks, bike paths, restaurants, Whole Foods, Vitamin Cottage and the Pearl Street Mall all within walking distance.
My apartment is a very large one bedroom with hardwood floors, washer dryer, a patio and large backyard. I have a queen size bed that is perfect for one or two people, and a twin mattress that would be perfect for a couple traveling with a child. I also have a comfortable queen size Aerobed I can set up in the living room to accommodate a maximum of 5 people. The airbed is a raised memory foam pillow-top model that is very comfortable. The apartment gets lots of light, and the kitchen has a full size range and a dishwasher. I also have a classic M Shwartz Piano from 1919 as well as a guitar and stereo set-up (I love music).
Internet is included, as are two bikes, two helmets and two locks for touring around Boulder - Biking is a great way to get around town as there are trails everywhere. There is street parking available right in front of the house for cars.
Entire apartment, including back deck and back yard.
Interaction with Guests
I can interact with you as much or as little as you like. Happy to share recommendations around town if needed.
Whittier is a neighborhood in the heart of central boulder. The streets are quiet and filled with trees and the houses large and old. At the same time, Pearl street is just 2 blocks away and filled with shops, cafe's and restaurants.
Most places you'll want to go are within walking distance. There are Boulder community bikes for rent close by, as well as the boulder bus. And we now have Uber in Boulder so that makes getting around to farther places super convenient.
- No smoking in the apartment or back deck please.
- Please take off your shoes while inside the apartment
- Check in is 3pm and checkout is 11 (let me know if you'd like different times and I can often accommodate)
- When you checkout please put used sheets and towels in the washing machine
My partner lives in the apartment upstairs, so I'll be on site and available to help with anything you need. Just txt me or call me at (phone number hidden)
A great location for shopping if visiting Boulder.
Unfortunately, the apartment is in need of refurbishment, woodwork cleaning and replacement bath.
We didn't stay and found alternative accommodation.
The positives were the location being fantastic (literally eight blocks from downtown), and that Will is a wonderful person. The best sandwich shop in Boulder (Snarf's) is only two blocks away. Will was a great host (very smooth communications), and he even offered us some of his organic vegetables.
The negative were the the house was slightly less impressive than in the pictures (it's an older house), and that there were a few insects inside (which is natural for an older house).
Overall, we're very grateful for Will hosting us.
Great location, a few blocks from Pearl Street. The 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment is in an older house, but it is spacious and the extra blow-up Queen bed in the living room was comfortable. My friend and I stayed for 4 days during Hanuman yoga festival, and we enjoyed using the full kitchen to make our dinners. Will was quick to respond to any inquiries, and he was kind to let us leave our stuff in his place during the last day of the festival!
Location was great but I think the apartment could have been a little cleaner. Will was a lovely host though and was very responsive at all times.
We loved the house and location. It was a perfect home base for our trip. Will was responsive and friendly, and we had a great 3 nights in Boulder.
Great apartment located in downtown Boulder. Really enjoyed the instruments and the nice backyard

About the Host, Will
I'm an engineer and entrepreneur originally from Toronto, but recently moved to Boulder Colorado. My wife Kati and I founded our company Kindara and spend our days helping women have better results with their fertility. In my free time I play frisbee, and love to ski. Boulder is a special place: amazing scenery and very friendly people and I'm trying to meet as many of them as possible :)
