This was my first experience staying with airbnb hosts and i could not have been happier with my stay with Bill and Julie. Buck's hideaway is lovely, location is very good, even if without a car as i was, the walk into town is very nice and can be done in about 15-20 mins. The area is quiet, safe and attractive. Bill and Julie themselves are very sweet people, easy to communicate with before the stay, very welcoming and friendly and their attention to detail is very well thought out. The kitchen, including snacks and breakfast was fantastic and i slept very well. I would certainly stay again.
Great place to stay! Had a well stocked fridge, good coffee, and even pastries waiting for us when we got there! Cozy, beautiful kitchen with lovely windows! We would definitely stay here again!
This place was awesome! And even though we didn't get to meet our hosts the personal touches they added to the home were very much appreciated. The pictures don't match up to how wonderful the place actually is. And the location is right in the middle of everthing or a short drive away.
Julie & Bill are wonderful hosts! We have been using airbnb for the past year and have not been disappointed yet.
We found Buck's Place a home away from home. Julie & Bill were very gracious in hosting us and even left a a personal message for us upon our arrival on the exterior chalkboard on the porch. The upstairs, one-bedroom apt was perfect for our visit. We were able to host dinner for our daughter and her future husband several times from a well-stocked kitchen. This is a fun place to cook and all the necessities were readily available for great meals.
The accommodations were wonderful, the bed very restful, and the living room a great place to cuddle up with a book. Heating is controlled by Julie and Bill downstairs but there is a large space heater that provided plenty of extra warmth on the cold nights in the living room. The comforter was a great extra on the bed that provided plenty of warmth during the nights.
Julie and Bill stocked the fridge with eggs and butter, as well as OJ, coffee, and muffins. The fresh fruit was I nice touch. The kitchen is well stocked with seasonings for cooking, as well as plenty of cooking utensils.
We have a wedding coming up in May but need a bigger place for this event. We will tell our friends, though, who are looking for a place to stay for the wedding come May.
Buck's place is delightful and my daughter wants to rent the place once she is married - lol!
Wonderful hosts for a great stay during the Holidays! You rock, Julie & Bill!

We spent three days over Christmas at Buck's Hideaway, as we were visiting our son, his wife and our new grandson in Colorado Springs. We could not have asked for anything better than what we got from Bill and Julie. The place is tastefully decorated and was perfect for our stay. All the appliances and utensils were there for our cooking needs. Super nice place hosting by super nice folks. Thanks again for a great stay!!
We have monopolized Bill and Julie's wonderful Hideaway by staying four times in a row. Now it's time for us to let someone else enjoy their delightful place. Thank you, thank you!
My husband and I came for a 5 day visit and we extended it into a 4 week one. We appreciated the natural light, the quiet neighborhood, the friendliness, the cleanliness, the cat who came to call, the watercolors on the wall, and the overall cozy atmosphere. The sights in and around Colorado Springs are within easy reach. Thank you, Julie and Bill; you were extremely kind and accommodating. It's hard to keep from asking if we just couldn't move in permanently. Great place!
I have rented from Bill and Julie two times and I have just begun a third visit. Bill and Julie are being incredibly helpful and accommodating during a time when my elderly father, who lives in Colorado Springs, needs a lot of care. When you happen upon hosts like Bill and Julie, you feel the warmth from people who act like family and offer you a home away from home.
This BnB is delightful. It's like living in a treehouse with a view of Pikes Peak from the dining table. The kitchen is large and full of natural light with windows along three sides. The living room is decorated with antiques and the bedroom is private with a comfortable bed. It is on a very quiet, tree-filled street located on the north end of town which, in my opinion, is the most beautiful part of Colorado Springs and tourists usually don't have it on their agenda. The hosts, Bill and Julie, greeted me with freshly baked cinnamon buns and are as helpful and friendly as can be but also respectful of privacy. The apartment has all the amenities and the fridge is stocked with breakfast goodies. Buck's Hideaway is indeed a "find". I hope to stay here many times in the future. Thanks Bill, Julie, and AirBnB!
This was my first Airbnb experience and I could not have been more pleased. Bill and Julie's apartment is perfect in every respect-lovely décor and art, comfy bed, great fluffy towels, perfect location. But all of the extra touches they provided-fresh raspberries, English muffins, fresh ground coffee, books about the area, really made this stay a delight. Communication was great! If my daughter chooses Colorado College (and we're hoping so) we will return for many visits!
