Canopy Suite is a one bedroom suite with a lovely jungle view! Queen bed with room for an extra single bed, spacious bathroom, fan, lockbox, and AC. Hotel has wifi, restaurant and pool. Canopy Suites are high in the trees for a great moutain view!
The Canopy suites they are higher up on the property and recommended for the naturalist adventurer. With Beautiful mountain views from the tree tops, and monkeys passing over head almost daily, the canopy suites have a tranquil feeling about them. There is a ceiling fan, AC, double bed and sofa bed, modern bathroom with hot water, and a nice terrace out front (Canopy 1 only Canopy 2 does not have a deck,) These can be rented together or separately. It should be mentioned that the Canopy suites and the Dome is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.
This room was amazing and the hotel was beautiful. We were able to walk to Quepos and the Marina at night for dinners and it was a short drive to Manuel Antonio National Park. I would highly recommend it - Gary and his staff were very welcoming!
Our stay at Condotel Las Cascadas in Quepos (near Manuel Antonio Nat'l Park) was everything we had hoped for on this part of our trip to Costa Rica. Las Cascadas is located in the hilltops of Quepos and our room (in the Canopy Suite) even more so. What a view! Surrounded by lush green foliage, bird calls, and a beautifully painted and decorated room, we couldn't have been more pleased--or relaxed. The staff we are very friendly and helpful, including the owner Gary who came by to chat a few times and to make sure our stay was going well.
Las Cascadas has a lovely outdoor swimming pool, dining room, and outdoor living room area for socializing that blended beautifully into the natural setting. We enjoyed a breakfast and a couple dinners during our stay and the tuna we had one night was some of the tastiest and best prepared we'd ever had!
Our close proximity to Manual Antonio Park (within 5 km I believe) was a big plus and even better, we were completely removed from the somewhat chaotic and claustrophobic feel of the resorts and restaurants that lined the hills on our drive from Quepos to Manuel Antonio. We found a private oasis that allowed us to relax and enjoy the beauty that surrounded us from the comfort of our pool lounge chair and our lovely hilltop room window.
Highly recommend staying in one of the Canopy Suites--the view and privacy were worth the several flights or stairs hike!
Gary was great, we loved our stay at his place. He and his staff were warm and wonderful. Looking forward to returning.
Thank you soooooooo much.
My parents and I absolutely loved our stay with Las Cascadas! The Canopy Suite was well kept, clean and spacious just as it is advertised. The view was pretty incredible too. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Gary is very sweet and was great about showing us neat places and events in the area. We had a lovely evening down the hill at the marina watching the sunset and eating a great meal. My suggestion: Stay for more than one night. I hope to visit again.
Highly recommended. I took my first trip to Costa Rica with my two kids, 10 and 7 years old, to La Fortuna, Monteverde, Quepos, and San Jose. This was our favorite place to stay and location of all the locations on the trip. I only wish we could've stayed more than 2 1/2 days.
The location is quiet and secluded, while just a few blocks outside of town because it is set into a little valley. This suite is up the side of the valley a bit, while the pool, dining area, and office are set below it. It is a bit of a hike to your room so it's not for those faint of heart, but it's worth it. The view is great! My kids loved the wildlife all around. We saw monkeys on our roof one day. There were geckos in abundance. There is a bat that likes to hang out at the end of the hallway between this suite and the one next to it. Lots of birds.
Gary, his family, and associates are always friendly and accessible, often in the dining area and/or the office. If you need any help or just some good conversation you can find them right away. They helped us book a Monkey Mangrove Tour in the area which is a must if you have kids (we saw a crocodile, jesus christ lizards, iguana, and more; and we hung out with monkeys on us eating banana from our hands).
The pool is open all night and is very nice. They serve tasty meals in the dining area, including breakfast, as well as barbecue steak and chicken in the evening, and were accomodating to our vegetarian preferences. Meals are billed to your room, making it possible to lounge around the pool and the dining room all day without having to worry about your money, wallet, and all of that (the room also comes with a safe).
The beaches of Quepos have many tiny, fast, sand crabs in the evening that the kids liked to chase around. The real highlight of the area is the Manuel Antonio area with its park and beaches, which are among the best beaches in the world. This place is a 15 minute drive from Parque Manuel Antonio.
The room was clean, beautiful, air conditioned, and modern, with plenty of window vistas.
I can't recommend this place enough. I hope we'll be back to Costa Rica some day and can stay here even longer next time.
Très bel emplacement
Vue magnifique perché a flan de colline
Accueil très agréable
Gary's place was absolutely AMAZING. If you're looking for a romantic and/or secluded getaway for one or two people, any of his suites are the perfect choice. There's a farmer's market in Emanuel Antonio within walking distance from his place on the weekends, which we were lucky enough to hit. I will say, having three guys staying in the room was a bit cramped, but we realized that there were two beds and it was a bit of a smaller place - this was all on us. The location and views were outstanding. It does get very light from the sun early in the morning, so if you're hoping to sleep in, keep this in mind. Gary was very flexible, and offered us two different suites to stay in.
