The mission is blowing up in the last 2 years. A lot more money has been coming into the hood and raising the quality of food and attractions. Where we live is actually the "safer: and cleaner part of the mission which is nice too.
24th and 16th bart stations are close by. There is a bus that gets to downtown called the Folsom/Pacific line. Bus 12 about 2 blocks away.
Other Things to Note
There is no coffee machine on purpose as there are great coffee houses 2 blocks away. Atlas on Alabama and 20th, and bryant and 21st.
Please be respectful after 11pm as we live upstairs. no late night parties. Yeap we have all been there :-)

Neil and Lilu were wonderful hosts. The studio is really gorgeous, and helped me fall in love with the neighborhood immediately. It's spacious, clean, private and quiet. You can't ask for a better place to stay in the city.
The studio apartment was just as described. Very clean and comfortable and perfect for 1-2 persons. Neil and his wife are excellent hosts and very accommodating and helpful. The neighborhood is safe and several restaurants are a block away. Mission street is a short walk and offers a variety of eclectic and local dining options. Downtown is an easy 10 minute can or Uber ride away. Great first-time Airbnb experience!
This was my first ABNB experience, so I researched a lot of places in the Mission area. Neil's was one of the first I saw on the site and I found myself going back to it for many reasons: it's the perfect size, comfy layout, upgraded, reasonable $$, and GREAT location with easy street entry, and not far from BART. It is just as it's pictured, and Neil was a great host; reaching out during my stay to confirm everything was OK. I look forward to staying at Neil's next time I'm in San Francisco!
Neil's Mission apartment is in a fantastic central location - a few blocks away from transport, food and plenty of cultural sights. The apartment is spacious and accommodating- easily for 2-3 guests. Because I didn't have a car, Uber was the main way of getting around in SF, which was super easy and convenient. There is also a laundromat and plenty of delis around.
Great apartment (no kitchen, TV) but modern feel and comfortable. It is a first floor studio w no guardrails in windows and a glass door, so if you're a woman and from a big city, might be scary at first. Neil is very funny, nice host.
Neil's studio apartment was an outstanding place for a week-long stay in San Francisco. The space was actually larger than I thought it would be from the pictures, and the size was quite gracious and accommodating even though there was just one of me. I appreciated the ample closet space also. My sister-in-law who lives in SF popped in to check it out after we had dinner and was impressed with how nicely furnished and spacious it was.
I enjoyed the location which was convenient to coffee shops, restaurants, bodegas and more. I wish I'd had more time to sample more of them. It was convenient to a bus stop (about 3 blocks to the 27 route pickup/drop-off) which is mostly how I got around to downtown and back.
There was a bit of street noise from people walking by in the evenings, but nothing major and it seemed to quiet down by 9:30 or 10 at night. Oh, and if you're wondering about light at night given being on the street, there's no need for concern - with the shades down the place is completely dark!
As a host, Neil easily accepted my late first night arrival due to flight delays with no complaints. He was quick to respond to my messages during the renting process. He explained everything important about staying in the studio quickly and efficiently! Readers like me will appreciate his eclectic set of book choices on the bookshelf for some quiet time.
All in all, Neil's studio served as a perfect base for my attendance at the Dreamforce conference for the week. All my colleagues were paying 3x or 4x for lesser accommodations in hotels. I wouldn't hesitate to choose Neil's place again on future trips to SF.
