Nice, cosy and bright one bedroom apartment available to rent in the very heart of historical Dublin city centre. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of the building, Christchurch and Dublinia are less than 5 minutes walk and it will take you about 10 minutes max to get to Temple Bar and City Hall. It is also facing a Tivoli theatre, which hosts some shows and music performances from time to time, and the street may get very noisy. If you walk in the opposite direction, you will find yourselves in front of the Guinness Store House within 10 minutes. The apartment block itself is in a very secure development. As it is off the main street, you would not need to worry about the traffic noise.
There are all the things you need in the apartment: from fresh bedlinen, towels and toiletries to cooking utensils (such as plates, bowls, knives and forks, glasses, a frying pan, a pot, and even a corkscrew!), so that you don’t have to depend on eating out each time. We also try to leave some basic food for you to have in the morning, like tea, nice ground coffee, some biscuits, cornflakes, but in case you need something else, there is always a Spar shop just around the corner from the apartment. We also provide a washing liquid for the washing machine, so that you can do your washing during your stay.
There is a big flat screen TV if you would like to watch some Irish channels and free wifi internet available, as well. Unfortunately there is no IPod docking station there, but I left a stereo for you, as well as a big collection of various CDs/MP3s to listen to and relax.
The heating that we have is storage heating, which comes on at night and releases the heat throughout the day.
This apartment is perfect for a single person and a couple, however, there is an option of having a third guest sleep on the sofa bed, which can be converted into a sleeping place if you wish. However, do notify us in advance that you will have a 3rd person staying with you, as we will need to prepare extra bedding for them.
It would take roughly 50 mins to 1 hour to get to our apartment (depending on the transport and the traffic). There are direct buses to the airport running within 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The 747 (6EUR single, 10 return) goes to and from Dame Street/ Christchurch. The 16A (2.75EUR single) goes from Georges Street.
We like to know a bit about our guests before any bookings are confirmed, so please be willing to swap a couple of messages. Also, it is important that you notify us at least 2 days in advance about your flight details and if possible, text us once you land in the airport.
We ask you to provide a security deposit reserved via AirBnB before your arrival. Your deposit will be returned to you on your day of departure if everything is in order.
Our check out time is before 12 pm and a check in is after 3 pm to make sure we have enough time to prepare the apartment for the next guest. In any case, we will do our best to accommodate early check ins depending on whether there were guests staying the previous night or not.
It is sometimes possible to rent an apartment for less than 2 nights. Please send your inquiry with the dates that you need, and we will get back to you.

Finally, we will be happy to answer any of your questions, give you all the advice you need on places to see around Dublin, entertainment and tips on the best places to eat, to make sure you have a great stay. Bear in mind, that English is not the only language we speak, so you won't be lost in translation! :-)
As we mentioned before, the apartment is located in a quiet and safe area, so we ask you to treat the neighbours with respect, no parties or excessive noise. At no times smoking or pets are allowed in the apartment.
No cleaning fee is charged on arrival and the cleaning is expected by guests at the end of your stay. There is no need to do a thorough scrubbing of the shower, the floor, etc, but please do wash up after yourselves, empty the bins, do the dishes and clean surfaces in the kitchen, clean the bathroom and make sure you leave the apartment in good shape when you leave. Please do not wash the bedding or towels, because mixing colours can damage them and we will take care of it anyway.
Svetlana's brother in law was nice enough to meet us late, our flight came in at 12:30. The apartment was about what we expected. It was in a great central location but we had a few minor issues.
I contacted the host the night before as I had not heard anything from Svetlana, however her reply was very quick and welcoming. Provided fantastic information on how to get from the airport to the flat, including the bus number I needed to get off at. The flat was perfect for what we needed it for, it was really only for sleeping in and we did not use it to cook or stay in during the day. Unfortunately, there was a party in the courtyard directly behind the flat until 3am, if you are going for that reason then it is a perfect location!! We had walked so much that day, it didn't keep us awake too much. The flat is clean and tidy too. Leaflets and information on the city was very useful. We arrived late and Svetlana's boyfriend was still very welcoming and accommodating.
A good journey starts with a good preparation and pre-organisation. Thanks to Svetlana, this requirement was met easily. Any answer regarding the flat or any other enquiries were answered promptly. Also, even if you don't know the streets of Dublin, it would be no problem to find the flat.
The flat itself is located in a central area which allows you to jump into the city centre straight ahead since everything is within a walking distance. The apartment and the stairway of the building is in a good condition and kept very clean. The furniture and equipment leaves nothing to be desired (in case that you are not looking for a fancy-schmancy jacuzzi-caviar accomodation; and even if there is something missing, I am sure Svetlana would take care of that and fix/organise it). To my mind, this apartment is excellent regarding the location and quality-price ratio.
We really enjoyed our time in Dublin! The apartment was perfect for our three weeks stay. It is equipped with everything you need (little kitchen, tv, washing machine, etc.). We also really appreciated the location, as it is very central and you can walk everywhere. I would really recommend this flat, if you are looking for a cosy, central and well equipped accommodation in Dublin!
We were met by Dennis who kindly waited for us, because of our delayed flight. He showed us the apartment and explained arrangements and items of interest in the surrounding area. There was also plenty of useful information provided in the apartment. We enjoyed our stay, as the apartment is nicely fitted out, very convenient in location and good value. We would recommend to prospective guests.
The apartment felt a little smaller than pictured but was enough room for two people. The space was clean and Svetlana left tea, coffee, and cookies for us. The location was good for getting around the city. This is a four story walk up which I didn't mind, but may not be ideal for older guests.
The apartment and location were exactly as described. Minutes walk to the city center, Jameson Distillery, and the Guinness Storehouse. Only a minute's walk from a main street where taxis are easily flagged, but still quiet inside. Internet worked great as well. While the apartment is located on the third floor by Ireland standards, for Americans this is the fourth floor. There is no lift or elevator either. This is important to consider if you are traveling with heavy bags, which we were. But that was ok as Svetlana's brother in-law was gracious enough to help bring them to the top.
