About this listing
Avoid the hustle, bustle, and EXPENSE of staying in NYC! Cozy private room in a stately condo in Englewood, NJ is just minutes away from NYC by public transit. You will be renting one bedroom in my two bedroom condo. Shared bathroom, kitchen, and living room privileges during your stay. There is a laundry room in the basement which you are free to use. You will also have one small, friendly cat as your companion during your stay!
I am a 50-year-old professional who works in NYC so for the most part you will have the space to yourself. I am very clean and orderly so please help me keep things this way! Also, the apartment is a SMOKE FREE space so NO SMOKING anywhere in my space. You are free to use the space to cook your own foods, as long as you are clean. I also cook and bake for a hobby (I'm vegetarian but can also cook/bake vegan and gluten free), so there are usually delicious fresh foods for you to sample during your stay : )
The neighborhood is very quaint and stylish. There are many great restaurants and trendy stores within a short walk of the condo, as well as a 24-hour grocery store. Plus, NYC is just a short (20 mins) bus ride away!
There is LOTS of public transit nearby. NJ Transit will take you directly into NYC, where you have access to all major buses/subways.
A quiet, clean, friendly, CHEAP place to stay while you visit or do business in the NYC metro area. How nice is that? : )
NO SMOKING! You are free to use my kitchen to cook and eat but you must clean up after yourself! I am up very early to go to work so you MUST be quiet and respectful--no loud music, no parties, etc. Also, you MUST be respectful of the other residents in the condominium complex and keep any common areas clean and free of any debris or litter. Other than that--enjoy your stay!
About the Host, Diane
Quiet, mature, professional female who is happy to provide cozy and inexpensive lodging to people traveling to or doing business in the NYC metro area. I am clean and happy and enjoy cooking, arts, culture, poetry, and overall educational/ philosophical pursuits. I have done a good deal of traveling in the past, but...that was before the current economic turmoil so my passport hasn't gotten a lot of action as of late : ( . However, I am hoping to also make some new friends by using this service and so hopefully my passport will have wings again before too long!
Life is too short for BS! One day at a time...and to thine own self be true.
