Your NY experience begins the minute you step into your newly remodeled apartment. Plenty of room for all your friends, smack dab in the middle of all the action New York has to offer.
We have 2 sunny rooms that easily accommodate 2 people either a couple or friends who want to partake of the Williams burg experience, the hottest neighborhood in NYC. We also have 2 dorm style rooms with a bunk bed and private entrances.
From your apt you will have access to tons of daylight and a plethora of shops and restaurants right outside your door.
This apt is in the heart of Williamsburg. A quick jaunt to all cafes, bars, shops, bars, and clubs. The feel of the apt is clean and homey with high ceilings and wood floors.
The apt is very quiet, just blocks from the main park of Williamsburg and 2 blocks from all the clubs and cafes.
Apt is 3 blocks from the Bedford L train and 1 block to the Lorimer stop. From there you are 10 minutes away from Greenwich Village and 1 stop to the East VIllage.

It's safe to say my stay with Pal did not start off on a pleasant note. First, it took over a week to get in touch with the host regarding a check in time, and in fact that had not been settled by the time my flight arrived in NY. It turns out the reason was because the room was being rented by someone other than Pal, and the contact number listed for Pal was in fact the contact number for this other person, and not Pal's number.
This person eventually gave me Pal's number (as I was awaiting my luggage) so I can get a hold of him and check in. Once I got a hold of Pal, by coincidence he was near my airport and was at least able to offer me a ride to the apartment, but only after driving around for another hour to pick up and drop off his kids. Did I save cab fare? Yes. Would I have gladly spent cab fare in exchange for peace of mind after a long flight? Hell yes.
Once we got to the place Pal was helpful and apologized for the confusion. He led me to the room, gave me the keys, and that was that.
The apartment is very much like a hostel, and thus common space is shared with about 3-4 others at any given time. That wouldn't be an issue except for the fact that the room door was a rather flimsy sliding door that is slightly thicker than construction board, so that the locks will be ineffective against a determined person. And I did have valuables like a laptop and such so that was a concern for me during my stay.
Another issue was that the room in the pictures was different than the room I received. The room in the picture was light an airy with windows, and mine was more like an alcove with a closet, and not one window.
Overall I suppose I have to chalk this up to the old adage "you get what you pay for," although a few simple things like leaving the correct contact number, and showing the exact photo of the space would contribute to a much improved experience.
I stayed for three nights, and it did not have hot water at the first night, it was fixed after that night. The location was good and close to subway. The room was not clean, and very small. The bed was awful, and it was some sort of a sponge mattress.
The building is very close to the subway station even in the cold.. My only complaint is that the bedroom and also the bathroom were not clean. I think that the fact that he dosn't live there has something to do with the lack of cleanliness. But all considered it is a good place to stay.
Good neighbourhood! I never felt that i was not safe even though i went there on my own. The place got everything you need to be comfortable. And the pizza around the corner is delicious ;) i definitely recommend this place!!!
Nice place, good neighborhood. The room is small but comfortable.
Dan was very nice to wait for us when we arrived late from the airport.
Pal's flat is very centrally located within walking distance to bedford avenue. Both him and Dan were quick at responding and we had an easy stay. The flat itself doesn't have any permanent residents, so it feels a little bit more like a small hostel - so if you're just looking for a place to crash at night it's great. If you're looking for something more personal, there are heaps of warehouse conversions around bushwick with more brooklyn charm.
small room, correct price, fanatsic location. perfect to visit new york
Belle petite chambre et accueil agréable au sein d'un appartement très bien situé dans Williamsburg, à 3 blocs de Bedford (10min de Manhattan) et très rapide d'accès depuis LaGuardia.
Pal's room is a great location to visit NYC. Williamsburg is a great neighborhood where you have many bars, restaurant, brunch places and a beach to watch NYC all the time. The room is clean, the beds are great and Pal was on time for the check-in.
The price was great and you only need 10 minutes by subway to get to Union square.
And, last but not least, we asked Pal to host us on short notice and he answered us immediatly.
One default: the AC is so noisy that it is impossible to let it on while you're sleeping. During the summer, it can be a problem during the night.
