The apartment’s location is definitely unique, not only it is 5 minutes walking distance from Piazza Santa Croce and its Basilica and only 10 minutes away from Piazza del Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the famous Uffizi Gallery, but it also offers the opportunity to live in one of the most characteristic areas of Florence. I cannot recommend this apartment enough! It is located perfectly close to the duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and most other activities in florence. There is a supermarket right next to the apartment as well as a bakery, cafe, restaurants, and an awesome pizzeria. The apartment itself has great wifi, a huge bathroom, and a bed that made me feel like I was back at home. In comparison to most places I have stayed in Europe, this apartment was very large and luxurious. The towels and linens were provided, as well as basic necessities in the kitchen. I did not personally meet Monica, but someone was waiting to check me into the apartment and Monica was extremely responsive to all of my questions. I will definitely stay in this apartment whenever I visit florence!
We enjoyed the accommodation, Wifi, close proximity to the Duomo, as well as the nearby entertainment, restaurants, and markets. Tomaso is very friendly. He let us in and gave us a brief tour of the place. I would stay here again given the opportunity.
Petit appartement très bien placé à deux pas de la cathédrale et de Santa Croce.
Literie confortable. Contacts propriétaire et remise des clés très professionnels..
Par contre extrêmement bruyant la nuit à cause des restos et bars alentours. Boules Quies indispensables!!!
Good location and communication with the host check in was easy although it is quite difficult to give an exact time to check in when you are coming from elsewhere outside of Florence. The apartment suited our needs very well and was centrally located near the duomo. As well grocery stores and others are right around the corner. All amenities were provided however it would have been nice to have dish soap, washing machine detergent, etc provided when paying a in person cleaning fee. Otherwise it was a great experience and we would recommend it to others! Thanks
The apartment was clean and comfortable. It is a perfect size for short term visits. No view really - but the location was fantastic - close to Duomo, grocery stores, lots of good restaurants etc. Firenze is easy to walk and walk and walk.
We had a great experience at this apartment overall. We didn't meet Monica, but our train arrived late so she had someone meet us there. The man that met us was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is in walking distance to everything. We felt like it was very convenient. The bed was comfortable and the space was clean.
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!!!!! Seriously unbeatable location !! It is a four minute walk from the Duomo, yet where it is positioned, you actually feel like you are away from the craziness of the crowds . Behind the apartment is a gorgeous small, relaxing square with restaurants and wine bars. About a seven minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio which was perfect for our daily evening sunset visit :)
The man who met us at the apartment with the keys did not speak English but we didn't mind one bit , he was cheery and friendly and if there was any confusion he used (website hidden) translate :)
The apartment itself was much bigger than I was expecting, thus a nice surprise. Large bedroom and living area with a well equipped kitchen and an amazing shower in the bathroom , which is always a bonus :) . We needed to let fresh air into the place each afternoon when retreating back to the apartment as it was a little warm and musty but was not a problem at all.
If I had one small negative, it would be that in the apartment next to this one , lives a family , and as the walls are quite thin and the children were up early most mornings, this also woke us up , so if you are planning to sleep until midday this may be an issue, but we certainly weren't there to sleep in so it was fine.
Well priced, excellent location, a decent amount of space, I would recommend this apartment :)
Siamo stati benissimo! Posizione ottima, appartamento accogliente, ben fornito e pulito, ospiti disponibilissimi. Salvato fra i preferiti.
We enjoyed our stay in San Pierino. Monica couldn't be more helpful and made our 17 day stay, from Christmas Eve to 10 January, very comfortable. The apartment is round the corner from good restaurants and wine bars, which we frequented regularly. The kitchen in the apartment is well fitted out and we cooked our chicken on Christmas day without any trouble.
The apartment is in easy walking distance of the centre of Florence, so visits to museums and shops is very easy. We would recommend an investment in a "Tourist 7 day Bus ticket", obtainable from the office near the station. Expensive but handy.
Briefly, on the downside, the wall between our flat and the next door one is very thin and since the family next door have small children running around and when they were having parties, it was difficult to have a peaceful evening.
Finally, on the morning of our departure, Monica was kind enough to book a taxi to take us to the airport. Thank you for that Monica, and thank you Airbnb.
Great apartment, great location! Everything is within walking distance. Highly recommended.
