This lovely cottage is perfect for couples wanting to relax and enjoy la Vita Italiana.
Your hostess, Elisabetta, would love to share the delights of this region with you. The cottage is also ideally located for day trips to Rome, Tuscany & Umbria.
The cottage sits high on the slopes of the Cimini Hills with views sweeping across the Lazio valley, over the river Tiber and racing up the slopes of the Apennine Mountains.
You can learn to make pizzas in the wood-fired oven, sip wine under the grapevine canopy and "prendere il sole" (sunbathe) in the fragrant garden overlooking the valley.
The cottage is tastefully decorated and has an open plan sitting room, kitchen and dining area, along with a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom with a shower. Wifi is free.
Places to enjoy
• Lovers of architecture can discover the Renaissance gardens at Villa Lante, the Farnese Palace and the 16th century Monster Gardens.
• Rent boats in Lago Bolsena, explore its islands filled with churches and swim in the shade of its dramatic alcoves.
• Pamper yourselves in ancient thermal baths in the Papal city of Viterbo.
• Dine on authentic local foods and wines during the Sagras (culinary festivals) in Soriano's neighbouring villages during the summer. You can see the fireworks from the Sagre sparkling across the valley from the comfort of the cottage. Soriano’s own chestnut-themed Sagra is in October.
• Walkers can enjoy the scenic trails around the Cimini National Forest. While eating wild figs and blackberries you might stumble across the abandoned 15th century church in the heart of the woods.
• The above is a small selection. The list goes on from beautiful Etruscan ruins to sampling coffee at Lini, the local roaster!
Feel free to use the cottage’s table tennis, mini soccer table, croquet set, bowls and darts board - just ask Elisabetta. Also ask for the pizza making equipment should you like to use the outdoor wood fired oven.

We loved staying in Elisabetta's beautiful cottage - the view is really stunning! Elisabetta was very kind and helpful and recommended some very nice places to visit and restaurants in the area. We would love to go back in the future!
Elisabetta was a wonderful host. She was very understanding when we arrived late in the evening (we had some trouble with our car hire), and stayed up to make sure we settled in OK.
She went out of her way to make sure we had all he information we needed and gave us some great tips on where to eat.
The cottage is as charming as the pictures suggest, and the view is remarkable.
The town itself is small and easy to explore. Would recommend other guests explore the other nearby towns too.
Would definitely stay here again.
The cottage is very charming and the small town 15 minuts walk away is a real local Italien town.
Elisabetta is brilliant host. She is very helpful and careful. She has event made a website which gives a lot of useful information about the cottage and the sorounding area.
It's a good place to drive out from if you like to experience Tuscany and it's small towns, nature, Big cities, wineries and culture.
We had a wonderful stay - we most definitely recommend it!
We had a fabulous time at this lovely, clean, precious cottage in Soriano Nel Cimino. Elisabetta was a wonderful host that made us feel welcome and relaxed for our entire visit. She had great suggestions for things to do in the area (Don't miss Fagetta!) and her speaking English was a huge help for us. We loved cooking in the cottage and dining outside with the beautiful views. We took advantage of the lovely brick oven and made homemade pizzas. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable stay during our vacation in Italy. If you are looking for a real slice of authentic Italy, this is your spot!
Every word in the description of the property is true: the cottage is absolutely charming and the view is really breathtaking! This property must be the best-kept secret of Italy, since we were only the second couple to stay in the cottage since Elisabetta joined Airbnb. We strongly recommend the cottage as well as our hostess, who did everything to make us feel welcome and to make our stay a very pleasurable one. Everything you could need during your holiday is there: a nicely equipped kitchen, garden furniture, toiletries, a bottle of icecold water in the fridge upon arrival, an ironing board and an iron, a hair dryer, and much more. Even breakfast for the first few days was supplied. Wifi is also available, at a good speed. We enjoyed every minute of our holiday in Soriano nel Cimino and hope to come back someday.
Elisabetta was a charming and extremely helpful host during our visit The cottage has everything a traveller desires to relax and feel at home. The decor is stunning and comfortable. Elisabettas recommendations for dining places in Soriano were excellent. We also enjoyed local produce and wine while sitting on our patio overlooking the fabulous views over the valley below.
With our hired car we were able explore our local surroundings the highlights for us being the fabulous garden at Villa Lante, Farnese Palace and gardens and the ancient Park of Monsters at Bomarzo.
We hope to visit again and highly recommend this delightful cottage.
