Galway city is a vibrant place, said to be Ireland's city of culture, it has many lovely restaurants providing both locally sourced produce and also ethnic foods and of course many pubs with traditional music.
There is a festival in Galway most of the year! Easter has the food festival which is very popular, Cuirt the literary festival follows on and then into the summer for the Galway Arts festival and the famous Galway races, Through the year there is always a great buzz in the city and to be part of it you only have to stroll through town, watch the buskers and street performers and have a drink sitting outside one of the many pubs and do a spot of people watching!
While here it is a great opportunity to visit Connemara, the Cliffs of Moher in county Clare and the Arran islands, all can be done as day trips from the city with one of the coach tour (email hidden) is possible to hire bicycles to explore the city.
Before you leave you should walk the famous Salthill prom,
and of course you kick the wall at Blackrock.
I would be pleased to help you enjoy your trip to galway and to provide any more information for you.

Sara is very friendly and hospitable. We had a lovely weekend in Galway. The room was spacious and the comfortable. The breakfast was a nice touch. The location is the perfect distance for walking into town. I would definitively recommend it!
Sarah was a wonderful host and her home is charming, warm, and welcoming. The interesting designs and the care taken of the minor details lead to an overall wonderful experience.
It is only a short ten minute walk to Wolfe Tone Bridge and very close to the South Park and beachfront as well.
Sarah's place was perfect for our trip to Galway. Everything we wanted was in walking distance, including pubs, the Christmas Market, shops, and the bus station. And Sarah is just awesome - great recommendations, great stories, and such a nice breakfast each morning.
I went here last weekend with my boyfriend (both Italian) and everything was brilliant! The house is awesome, the bedroom is so big with everything you need and personal bathroom. Sarah is so kind and so nice! She suggested us a beautiful place where eat fish&chips and we are so satisfied about this experience with Airbnb!
I recommend it at everyone!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was calm and in walking distance of everything we needed. The room was clean and cosy with an incredibly comfortable bed (!). And Sarah is a very friendly and uncomplicated host. Also: Good breakfast. Recommended!
Once again i had the most exquisite experience staying in Sara's home
during my last trip to Galway.
I felt free to come and go as i please but at the same time Sara always
made herself available to help me out planning my little expeditions
in the area...we also shared some good laughter and had nice exchanges when we had the occasion to...which made it all,
warm and cosy ,a second home at heart !
Sarah was a great and helpful host.
She is there for you if you have any questions but also gives you privacy.
The room is cozy and quiet and just as described in the ad. The breakfast was prepared with care.
The place is in walking distance to the city centre and also a good starting point for a day trip to Connemara or the Cliffs of Moher.
