There is a festival in Galway most of the year! Easter has the food festival which is very popular, Cuirt the literary festival follows on and then into the summer for the Galway Arts festival and the famous Galway races, Through the year there is always a great buzz in the city and to be part of it you only have to stroll through town, watch the buskers and street performers and have a drink sitting outside one of the many pubs and do a spot of people watching!
While here it is a great opportunity to visit Connemara, the Cliffs of Moher in county Clare and the Arran islands, all can be done as day trips from the city with one of the coach tour (website hidden) is possible to hire bicycles to explore the city.

Outstanding experience! Sarah made us feel welcome, provided a wealth of information about the area, gave great recommendations for food and entertainment and served healthy breakfasts (a rarity on the road). The room was spacious and clean and we had a bathroom to ourselves. This is a good area, easily walkable to the city center or the shore. Comfortable home and lovely host - highly recommended.
I enjoyed it so much staying in Sarahs home - it was the best place to beard the ugly weather ;)
We had wonderful time in Galway at Sarah's place! The house was beautiful as you can see in the pictures, clean and confortable.
Very close to the city centre and the sea, so I defintely suggest this place in Galway. Sarah is a really nice person and host, she helps us in everything about restaurats and trips!and the breakfast was super!
Sarah's place was the perfect base to explore. It was great being a stones throw from Salthill and a hop, skip and a jump from bustling Galway. Sarah made us feel very welcome and her insider knowledge of what to do hit many spots with what we were looking to experience. Her home was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay with her again.
