This beautifully restored gem from the early 1900's is your peaceful and quiet home away from home while in Napa. It's a convenient few blocks walk to downtown where you'll find lots of great restaurants, the Oxbow Market and plenty of shopping.

The Space

This 1920's Dutch Colonial home has been restored to it's original grandeur right in the heart of "Old Town" Napa. The block is lined with Redwoods over one hundred feet tall so you'll feel as though you've entered the Muir Woods of Wine Country. As you can see by the pictures, no detail has been overlooked or expense spared in decorating our home. The main guest suite has a queen bed fitted with the same brand of mattress the Queen of England uses. Trust me, a better nights sleep you haven't had; and your bathroom with it's beautiful walk-in glass tiled shower has a heated floor to keep your feet toasty warm during the crisp, cool mornings. There is a second guest suite attached to your bathroom that has a queen pull out sofa bed with a surprisingly comfortable mattress if needed for another couple or the kids, but it's yours to use to have extra space or to use the 30" Samsung Windows 8 computer for Netflix or any other entertainment package you belong to.

A full-on breakfast isn't provided as most people visiting want to walk to some of the great morning meal places in Napa. However, the frig will be stocked with bottled water, juice, milk and fruit, and you are of course encouraged to use the Keurig machine for coffee, tea or hot chocolate. If you buy wine and want to indulge at the house there are more glasses than you could ever use up in a stay.

You are just a five minute walk from all the great restaurants and nightlife that have taken over the city of Napa. Walk to Iron Chef Morimoto's? Check. Walk to award winning Italian restaurant Oenotri? Check. Walk to the Oxbow? (a smaller version of the famed San Francisco Ferry Building) Check. Walk to ABC bakery with their fresh daily Blackberry muffins and Cinnamon Bread? Check. Walk to the Fatted Calf for amazing sandwiches and charcuterie? Check. Walk to the brand new Cinemark Movie Complex? Check.

There is a gym nearby that I could probably get passes for so if you plan on working off the calories you plan on putting on, please let me know in advance of your arrival.

I'm in the wine business and work with a winery as well as being a food and wine nut, so feel free to use me for recommendations for meals and wine tasting.

  • Greg's house is beautiful. The neighborhood is quiet. We spent some relaxing time on the patio listening to the calming fountain. I was traveling with a girlfriend so the extra room gave us each our own bedroom. When I return to Napa with my husband I most definitely want to stay here. Greg was a wonderful host and even baked chocolate chip cookies late one night.

  • Greg was a terrific host and his house is beautiful. Our experience was wonderful!
It's location is perfect... a short walk to almost everything.

  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Greg and his adorable dog! The house was prettier than the pictures and he was very welcoming... even making fresh baked cookies for us upon our arrival. My only wish was that we could stay longer. He gave us great restaurant and winery recommendations, and his house was a short walk to downtown Napa. Oh, and the view of the redwoods while laying in the hammock in the backyard was alone worth the stay.

  • The host (Greg), the location, the house and the experience all exceeded our expectations. Greg made us feel very welcome and provided lots of great local suggestions. The house was stunning and immaculate and the beds comfortable. We also fell in love with the boss of the house, Luce the dalmatian.

Being a huge wine nerd myself, it was also a pleasure to geek out with Greg about wine too.

I highly recommend staying here - we'll certainly be back.

  • We had a great stay at Greg's!

Host: Greg was very warm and welcoming. He made us feel absolutely at home with sweet touches (eg. preparing a table setting for us when we told him we were planning on having wine and cheese at the house for dinner one evening).

Location: The house is a 10-minute walk from the waterfront's restaurants and bars. Very convenient and nice area of Napa, that we used as our base for exploring Napa and Sonoma Valleys.

House: The place is elegant and beautifully done. The garden in the back is wonderful to relax in (esp. the hammock!). The 'guest wing' included considerate details (eg. the 'welcome note', water bottles, additional toiletries). It was a little tight for 4 people, but it would be perfect for a couple or a family with children.

Misc: Greg has a beautiful and very friendly Dalmatian.

All around, we had a terrific stay!

  • The stay here was fabulous! We won't stay anywhere else in Napa. Will definitely be back. Greg was so helpful with food and winery suggestions and was such a wonderful host. He made us feel welcome and at home. The home was beautiful and our room was very comfortable. The location was close to many restaurants and walking was no problem at all. Perfect! :)

  • My husband and I agreed that Greg and Jeff's place was probably the best house, on the best street, in the best little redwood forest in Napa. Inside it was beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated, the bed was comfortable and the sheets were amazing. Jeff balanced attention to us and privacy for us perfectly (Greg was out of town), and he and Greg gave us some great recommendations. I don't suppose there are many listings on Airbnb that are even better in life than in the photos, but this was one of them.

  • Greg & Jeff were wonderful hosts. Their house is darling, their dining and entertainment recommendations were right-on, and they're located really well in the heart of Napa. We definitely recommend staying with them!

  • This is a beautiful house on a beautiful tree lined street in Napa. This meticulously maintained house was very tastefully renovated recently by Jeff, the co-owner of the house. The house is made at a very high standard and more beautiful than the photos I saw on in airbnb website. Greg recommended the great restaurants in Napa and gave us the sample wine tasting route. We followed his advise 100% and our trip turned out perfect.

BRAND Napa Valley Winery
I'm a born and raised Floridian from Tampa Bay. The area was my home for most of my life before selling my business and moving to Napa Valley, where my true passion for food and wine lies. I'm the Estate Director for BRAND Napa Valley, (website hidden), which takes me to many places for work. My hobbies are food and wine, all forms of the entertainment industry, sports, travel, cars, dogs and philanthropy. I'm an early to bed, early to rise kind of guy so no worries about late night partying in any AIRBNB facility. :) I lived in Paris for a year and love foreign travel.
