Enjoy a hotel-quality stay in a private apartment perfect for one or two people visiting Charlottesville for university events, touring, work, etc. In a lovely, quiet, scenic neighborhood, just 10 minutes to downtown Charlottesville and UVA.

The Space

This perfectly-located, new studio apartment is ideal for one or two people. It is detached from the main house, with its own separate entrance, so privacy is ensured.

The apartment is fully furnished with two comfy twin beds, a dresser, side table, dining table and chairs, TV, and closet. The kitchen is fully equipped for any culinary adventure, and the full bathroom is packed with fresh towels and any essentials you forgot at home.

Guest Access

Guests can expect a hotel-quality stay. You will find fresh bed and bath linens upon check-in, fully stocked cookware and flatware, and basic bathroom amenities (if needed). Coffee, tea, fruit, and biscotti are stocked to get you up and moving in the morning! HD network TV and wireless internet included.

***WHAT'S NEW?"***
- We've upgraded to a Keurig coffee system so you can have that morning cup o' joe (or decaf, or tea...) in just moments with no fuss, mess, or clean up!
- The TV is now equipped with Chromecast so you can bounce your own Netflix and Hulu accounts from your tablet or smartphone straight to the TV!
- By popular request, we've added a luggage stand so your suitcase doesn't hog the bed while you're settling in or packing out.

Free off-street parking right next to the apartment is easy and convenient. It is just north of the C-ville city line and a perfect location to get into town, or up Route 29 with speed
and ease:
- 5 minutes to Route 29
- 10 minutes to downtown Charlottesville, UVA, John Paul Jones Arena, and Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport
- 15 minutes to NGIC/DIA

Interaction with Guests

The apartment is fully separate from the main house, and we respect our guests' privacy. We get guests settled in at the start of a visit, and then let them dictate the pace of interaction.

We'll ensure guests remain stocked up on the essentials, and we love to help our guests get the most out of their visit to Charlottesville. Requests for assistance, information, or recommendations are welcome at any time.

The Neighborhood

Belvedere is a lovely and quiet, brand new neighborhood, built in the "new urban" style: a close-knit community in a socially- and ecologically-conscious environment.

Its incredibly scenic and walkable, and you'll see a surprising range of home styles and architecture within just a few blocks.

Perfect for nature lovers, the apartment has mountain views and is just a quick walk to the Rivanna River Trail.

Getting around

Guests will want to travel beyond the neighborhood by car or taxi, and we offer free private parking next to the apartment.

Just 5 minutes to Route 29, 10 minutes to downtown and UVA, and 15 minutes to the airport and NGIC.

Charlottesville is very bike-friendly, and we can put guests in contact with a local bike rental shop. Public transportation is not an ideal option.

  • We had a wonderful stay. The carriage house was fantastic and exactly as described. Bryan and Kate made sure we were well taken care of, and we would definitely love to stay here again.

  • My best friend and I recently ventured to C'ville for a girls' trip. This quaint carriage house is a great solution for the affordable weekend getaway. Located in the heart of Charlottesville, this BnB style suite has all the conveniences of home and none of the big hotel fuss. It's convenient to the Mall, plenty of shopping and local breweries and wineries. The hosts are as friendly and hospitable as others have already mentioned no found them to be extremely responsive and accommodating. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area and want a more low-key experience.

  • We had a WONDERFUL experience staying at Bryan's carriage house. He and his wife were very easy to work with and happy to help make our experience an enjoyable one. The apartment is very clean, well stocked (the Keurig is a nice touch!) with towels, linens, ironing board, small fridge, etc... It has all we needed for a girls weekend. Bryan and his wife even have brochures about places to eat and visit in and around Charlottesville. I would definitely recommend their place to anyone wanting a nice, clean and quiet place to stay in Charlottesville.

  • Really enjoyed our experience! The apartment was exactly as in the photos, clean and complete with Keurig, a variety of toiletries, numerous towels, and dining/sightseeing recommendations from the hosts. The accommodations were comfortable, quiet, and private. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.

  • The apartment was great, clean, had all the amenities you need including extras. It's a cute and cozy place in a very nice and walkable neighborhood and within a short drive to town. Bryan and his wife were helpful, polite and friendly. They have good info and recommendations in the room for restaurants and things to do in Charlottesville. Definitely a place I'd stay again.

  • The carriage house was perfect for what we needed and we could not have asked for better hosts. We had a great time. Thank you Bryan and Kate!

  • My husband and I spent our first anniversary weekend in Charlottesville and we couldn't have had a better time. The apartment was absolutely perfect! Bryan and his wife did an amazing job of making sure we had everything we needed (from keurig cups to biscotti to fresh fruit to a wide variety of toiletries). They even chilled a bottle of wine for us as a welcome gift! We felt like we were at home :) We will definitely be recommending them to all of our friends!

  • I have stayed at Bryan and Kate's apartment several times now and it has always worked great for me. They have been flexible with the schedule when I needed it and very responsive to my communications. The apartment has worked great for me, quiet and peaceful at night and so convenient to just grab some groceries and use the kitchen....also love being able to take off for walks right from there onto the trail a little ways down the road when I have time.

  • My daughter and I visited Charlottesville on spring break and we are still raving about our lovely time at Bryan and Kate's private carriage house apartment. It was located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of sidewalks and a river trail for safe walking. The apartment was perfectly furnished and spotless. The owners are very respectful of their guests' privacy and provided us with everything we needed upon arrival. We plan to return there on our next trip to the area.

  • This was our very first Airbnb experience and I'm pretty sure Bryan and Kate have set an impossible standard for any future hosts we may have. They went above and beyond to make our weekend getaway from DC as enjoyable as possible - from the extremely well-kept living quarters to the extra amenities like Chromecast, fully stocked Keurig, and complimentary fruit and granola bars. While we had arrived with a fairly detailed itinerary in mind, Bryan's helpful guide to the Charlottesville food and entertainment scene helped solidify our plans. We can't recommend this stay enough and will definitely be back when our travels take us to Charlottesville.
