This was our first Airbnb experience and we couldn't be more pleased! Christie was a gracious host and the room was AMAZING. The location was absolutely perfect for walking around the historic district of Savannah. We plan to make this THE place we stay whenever we visit.
If you want to make a visit to Savannah an authentic experience I would suggest staying in Lilly's Chambers on Forsyth Park. I would describe it as a modern day time traveling experience. When you look at the house from the outside you can already see the old historic architecture come to life and as you make your way through the house you see the inner beauty of a gem that opens up to one of the most beautiful parks where oak trees are draped with spanish moss. If you like scenery that is close to the heart and soul of Savannah, this is where you need to stay. In the room is a beautiful bay window that opens up to the park from your bed. A short walk into the open bathroom you will find a claw foot tub which gives you the most elegant experiences of relaxation, and if you want to enhance that experience I would definitely recommend going to Nourish Bath Products in downtown Savannah. But even if your not up for a bath, there is a beautiful stand-up shower. Then from the bathroom you can walk on to your balcony overlooking Forysth Park through the floor-to-ceiling window where sites and sounds ring your ears. But aside from this beautiful house, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Christie was very accommodating. She was quick to respond to our questions and even in a house with 3 other rooms for others to stay we felt almost as if we had the place to ourselves. This is a great place!
We did not get to meet Christie in person, but texted and talked with her on the phone -- she was very warm and welcoming. Lilly's Chambers was great for our weekend trip -- it was spacious, there was lot of sunshine, and good view of Forsyth Park. The bed was comfortable. The private porch was great for people-watching and relaxing after a long day of excursions. The shower was nice. There was even a mini-fridge for us to store our alcoholic beverages and produce from the farmer's market.
It was about 1 mile walk to downtown Savannah/River District -- pleasant and easy walk. Farmer's Market happens in Forsyth Park on Saturdays. I appreciated the free parking -- rarely drove our car and saved on downtown parking fees!
Our hostess was very accommodating in all our needs and was very understanding when we arrived later then we had anticipated. It was great having our two little poodles with us. The view from our balcony was amazing and our room was cozy and comfortable. Savannah has stolen my heart and I know I will be back again to take in all her beauty. I can't thank you enough Christie, for making this one of our favorite vacations. The Kastner family.
Everything was perfect! We had such an amazing time staying in Lilly's Chambers...the room is large and comfortable with big bay windows looking out onto Forsyth Park. There was a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room with coffee, creamer and sugar...and a balcony perfect for sitting outside and Forsyth Park people watching. It was really great not having to worry about parking also. The location was fantastic...we just walked everywhere to see the Savannah sites.

About the Host, Christie
Hi! Traveling, music, and the ocean are three things that are near and dear to my heart. It is a blessing to live in such a beautiful city that is great to come home to, and I love sharing our little corner of Savannah with our guests. As a host, I use "the Golden Rule" and try to create an environment that I would want to be in as a guest. Cleanliness and comfort (i.e. nice towels and sheets) are always a priority. We are very flexible and do what we can to make each guest's stay as nice as possible and to make everyone feel at home.
