The Space

Welcome to the Hostess City! Stay in the 2nd floor guest room of this historic (circa 1893) brick Victorian mansion that overlooks Forsyth Park. We now have a brand new Serta pillow top mattress, box spring, and bed frame in this room. *Please read our entire page so you will be informed on your room (we have 4 guest rooms in our house), parking, etc. Please see our second photo of the back of our house which gives info on parking.* You will have plenty of privacy as you will have the front half of this floor to yourself. You will have a full bath with claw foot tub and a separate shower that are separated from the bedroom with perfectly functional pocket doors. A beautiful crystal chandelier accents the bathroom. Walk through a traditional floor-to-ceiling window onto your private balcony that overlooks Forsyth Park.
Wi-fi and cable with HBO and Cinemax are included. This bedroom has its own thermostat, so you may adjust the temperature to your liking. It also has a small refrigerator, a microwave, toaster and a coffee pot with coffee and condiments. The Forsyth Park Cafe is across the street in the park and has a Starbucks and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Our house is less than a mile from Bay Street and is located in the Historic District of Savannah. You will be within walking distance of the entire historic district which is full of beautiful homes with amazing architecture as well as lovely parks and squares with oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Savannah offers dozens of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, boutiques, and art galleries.
Architecture: Our house has all the characteristics of a Victorian style home including bay windows, sash windows, transoms, multiple porches and balconies, 9 fireplaces, and a Mansard slate roof.
Our house was on the 2013 Savannah Tour of Homes and Gardens.
Tybee Island is only 30 minutes away which has great restaurants, pretty beaches, and beautiful sunsets.
Bonaventure Cemetery is 3.7 miles from our house.
**We have 4 other guest rooms in this house and can accommodate a total of 16 people.**
Our Guestbook highlights our favorite spots and is on our other downtown Savannah listing (Victorian Mansion on Forsyth Park *). Please note that airbnb charges a small fee to hosts and guests, so your total will be a little more than the room fee.
