  • We had a wonderful time in Savannah. The room was beautiful (aside from the forgotten Halloween prop in the cupboard which frightened at least ten years out of me).

The balcony overlooked Forsyth Park so the view made the wine taste so much better. We were central to everything.

My only regret is that we didn't stay for longer.

  • This home is beautiful and the room was comfortable, relaxing, and spa-like!

  • Our anniversary trip to first time Savannah could not have been better thanks to Christie and the "family" at Collat House. Everything was comfortable and we were truly made to feel at home. Fantastic experience!

  • This was our first AirBnB experience and has set the bar really high for future bookings. The Collat House surpassed all our expectations. It has beauty and charm. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, yet respected our privacy. The location was perfect....our room (Lilly's Chambers) was outstanding. There was a balcony that looked out onto Forsyth Park which is a must see when you visit Savannah, We felt very secure with a key entry door to our room. There is a computer on the second floor for guests to use which was really handy, Nice to have parking behind the house..never had to move the car as this home is in a perfect location. It is within walking distance to everything, We walked all the way to River St. and back on both days and we are retired. So nice to be right beside the park. In the evening, we would wander over and sit around the fountain, relax and watch the sun set...very relaxing. We highly recommend this beautiful home!

  • Christie was an excellent host - available for questions and to show us around when we arrived, but otherwise allowing us our privacy even though she does live in the house and has a business on the ground floor.
The room is lovely and the bathroom is over the top! We enjoyed the little balcony off the bathroom for coffee and breakfast as well as people (and car) watching, as it is above a busy street but right across from Forsyth Park. We loved walking everywhere - about a mile to the river along streets lined with lovely homes, monuments and big old trees dripping with Spanish moss. The only negatives are that room is a bit noisy with street sound, and it doesn't really have drawers or a usable closet, so it is hard to unpack. Friendly cat was in residence two of the three nights.
We would return if we ever have the good fortune to go back to Savannah!

  • This was truly the best way to stay in Savannah! Collat House is beautiful, and our room was gorgeous and luxurious feeling. Christie was friendly and very welcoming. There were other guests there but we didn't really see them, it felt like a hotel only a million times better. The only drawback is there a good bit of noise from the road and from the upstairs airbnb'ers. I'm a light sleeper is the only reason I noticed but it definitely wasn't a deal breaker with the beautiful view of the park. The cafe in the park also serves breakfast, coffee, snacks, and beer. It was about a fifteen minute walk to shops/restaurants but it's through parks and downtown so it was quite lovely; we grabbed a beer/coffee from the cafe and were there in no time. We will be staying here again and so should you!

  • Perfect location, beautiful room, loved the whole inn! Christie was super warm and accomodating---loved the 2 house cats and little dog too---and the room was great. Would definitely stay here again---a great place to just walk all over the city from. Loved it!

  • I cannot recommend this place highly enough. My fiancee and I came down for a Valentines day trip and stayed on the front room (the one with the tub and front deck overlooking the park). It was clean and comfortable, and while we spent little time there and much more out exploring Savannah, the time we did spend was absolutely wonderful. Christie herself was very nice and accommodating, and the pets were cute to boot.

  • We had a great stay in Christie's beautiful home. The room is lovely and comfortable, with a microwave, mini-fridge and toaster (Christie provided bread for toast and fresh fruit). She also provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a coffee maker in the room but Starbucks is less than a block away in the park if you can't be bothered. Christie consistently asked if we had everything we needed but was also very unobtrusive. We loved the friendly kitties and Emma, the dog. We loved being close enough to walk most anywhere downtown and the room has a lovely view of Forsythe Park. One thing to be aware of: the room faces Whitaker, which is a rather busy street and there is some road noise. We would stay here again!

  • We loved the accommodations. Every detail attended to. Very convenient from I-95, to River Street, and all the wonderful Savannah restaurants. Thank you, Christie.

About
Hi! Traveling, music, and the ocean are three things that are near and dear to my heart. It is a blessing to live in such a beautiful city that is great to come home to, and I love sharing our little corner of Savannah with our guests. As a host, I use "the Golden Rule" and try to create an environment that I would want to be in as a guest. Cleanliness and comfort (i.e. nice towels and sheets) are always a priority. We are very flexible and do what we can to make each guest's stay as nice as possible and to make everyone feel at home.
