Our apartment is close to the Lumpini Park, the big green area in central Bangkok. The neighbourhood is quiet and cosmopolitan and there are many restaurants and street food vendors in the immediate vicinity. The area has a lovely feel to it.

The Space

Our spacious and elegantly furnished 2 bedroom apartment is situated close to the Central Business District of Bangkok just off Sathorn Road. The apartment is 70 sq m in size and is on the 8th floor of a brand new building. The facilities include a dining room and lounge, fully fitted kitchen with small balcony, master bedroom with king size bed and balcony overlooking the business district of Sathorn Rd, 2nd bedroom with queen size bed with views out over the business district, work area with desk and broadband internet connection, air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD player, bathroom with shower, 2nd bathroom with WC, fully fitted kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, washing machine, microwave, hot plate, kettle, toaster cutlery, crockery and glassware. Weekly maid service is included in the rate.

The public facilities include a swimming pool, fully fitted gymnasium, café, health spa and 24 hour mini-mart. It is a short walk from the apartment to the Bangkok underground system and there are many Thai and western restaurants and shops within the immediate vicinity. There is a very good expat supermarket just along the road.

The apartment would be an ideal base from which to explore the fascinating city of Bangkok, whether you are on a short stopover on your way to or from your beachside or northern Thailand holiday, or if you have decided to spend longer getting to know a little bit more about Bankok. You will never be bored in Bangkok, there are so many things to see and do, no matter what your area of interest there will always be something to delight and surprise you here.

Guest Access

You have free access to the swimming pool and gymnasium. There is a small childrens play area.

Interaction with Guests

We meet all our guests on arrival (no matter how late or early you arrive). We will welcome you to Bangkok and show you how everything works in the apartment. We are available 24hrs a day for our guests if problems arise - we are here to help.

Getting around

The area is very nice to walk around. It takes approximately 8 mins to walk from our building to the Lumpini Underground station. There are taxis and tuk tuks passing the building at all times.

  • The place is clean and cosy. Henry is good at communicating and direct. Pictures look bigger than actual, but actual size is stated. Water in showers are slow flowing and shower head needs replacing. Overall good. Tell others in the Airbnb community about your stay.

  • Well equipped, comfortable apartment, in a great (if initially hard to find) location. If you're making your own way there, either from the airport or elsewhere, ensure you have good clear directions in Thai, with reference to commonly known land marks! Henry was friendly, helpful and knowledgable and overall the apartment was a perfect base from which to explore the city.

  • The apartment is as pictured. It's lovely, everything works well and Henry is helpful and accommodating. Henry and his wife have made getting back the apartment easy by providing a little notecard with the address and phone number written in Thai script.

    The apartment is in a good location and there are nice restaurants and facilities nearby; We LOVED the Thai restaurant right across the street.

    We would definitely consider coming back on our next stop in Bangkok.

    Note: we made use of the airport pickup even though it's a very expensive way to take a taxi to the apartment (1200 Baht compared to the metered rate of about 300 baht). We made that choice because after a long flight with two kids I wanted to reduce any unknowns possible and it was worth the extra money to have someone waiting for us in the arrivals area. If you're traveling more lightly I'd probably recommend finding your own way to the apartment.

  • One of the best things of this apartment is its owner (please don't be discouraged - you will find other features of this apartment excellent as well). We were pleasantly surprised how helpful and welcoming Henry was. We came in quite late but this was not a problem and Henry met us at this apartment (we were taken there by his driver, since Henry offered pick up service, so we were met by his driver in the airport).
    Apartment was very clean and everything was provided. We found air conditioning unit in every room, so didn’t have issues with heat. And not to forget that the apartment is stylishly furnished, so very pleasant to stay at.

    Location is excellent – within walking distance to Bangkok MRT (Metro line) Lumphini station, which is 3 stations away to the last MRT station in Chinatown and old/historical city location on one side and 2 or 3 stations to Sukhumvit station, one of those lively and crowded parts of the city at night. There is a nice breakfast location downstairs recommended by Henry in the same building (of course, more places to eat in the street). Neighborhood seemed very safe and quiet, but still in the very center of Bangkok.

    It was an excellent "hub" for us in Thailand - stayed there for a few days just after we came until we continued our journey to other parts of Thailand, and then again before our flight back home.

    When we will come to Thailand next time I will not even consider staying elsewhere than at one of Henry's apartments while in Bangkok.

    Oh, and one more thing - it is great to have a (very friendly) person whose mother tongue is English - no hassle trying to get directions or advice while trying to understand the language, no matter how friendly Thais would be..
