A place guests keep coming back to
Guests return year after year, praising the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and Cairo's responsiveness
"A perfect place" on Waikīkī's Gold Coast, the last oceanfront blocks before Diamond Head, where the hotel towers stop and the neighborhood begins. The family calls it Gipsy Palace, after our grandmother, whose home it was for many years. The building sits directly on the water, with private access to the ocean below. Stays are 30 nights or longer. Many of our guests return year after year.
The space
Set up for longer visits to settle in and make yourself at home. A freshly updated kitchen. Queen bed in the bedroom and a twin day bed in the living room with beautiful linen sheets. An updated bath, WiFi, and a fold out desk in the bedroom closet. Laundry is on the fourth floor, operated by app or card.
Two outdoor rooms. The lānai wraps the front and side, tiled in terracotta, with a teak table for meals and a lounger facing the water and the surf below. Off the bedroom, a second deck looks straight at Diamond Head over the treetops of Kapiʻolani Park. Downstairs, the building has a shared lawn and terrace along the seawall, with loungers and a gate to the water.
Fifth floor, reached by elevator. The Gold Coast is the quiet end of Waikīkī, between Kapiʻolani Park and the foot of Diamond Head. Kaimana Beach is a seven minute walk, the shops and restaurants of Waikīkī fifteen. A bus stop is out front, and one parking stall comes with the condo.
Guest access
One designated parking stall. Laundry on the fourth floor. The wraparound lānai and the deck off the bedroom are yours. The lawn and terrace on the seawall, and the gate to the water, are shared with the building.

From the host
One of the joys of staying at Gipsy Palace is exploring Honolulu like a local. Here are a few places I find myself returning to again and again. Part of the beauty of staying at Gipsy's palace is that it is a short and walkable distance to downtown Waikiki, but away from the noise and the hustle and bustle of downtown.
Kiamana Beach (a local favorite) is a hidden gem, located less than a quarter mile from our property.
