Nick & Judy are fantastic hosts with a jawdroppingly beautiful house set in stunning surroundings in a jewel of a location on the edge of Dartmoor.
They were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcome.
The room surpassed expectation and we felt very much at home.
For informal breakfast in the mornings we were served with food that was sourced locally and wholly organic.
It was fun to discuss what we had done during our short break away and took on their local knowledge when we needed suggestions. Much appreciated.
We would not hesitate staying at the house again and would like to thank Nick, Judy and their Cats & Dogs again for being wonderful.

My stay with Nick and has family was lovely. The room was huge and super comfy. The house was gorgeous and in a fantastic setting. Would definitely recommend.
This nice air-B&B for us has been a good bases for visiting Dartmoor and Totnes. The room is very comfortable and anybody who likes animals and plants will feel fine in this place. Breakfast was prepared with organic/quality food. Judy and Nick were ospitable and friendly. Thanks for the pleasant stay.
We stayed here for two nights for a wedding weekend. The house is lovely with bags of character, and as advertised, the room is huge! Nick and his family were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The bed is comfy and we had no problems sleeping right through the night, before enjoying a tasty breakfast in the morning.
This room is great if you are looking for a nice place to crash. If you like somewhere with absolute privacy and traditional BnB amenities (bathroom to yourself, tea and coffee making facilities etc) then this is probably not the place for you. Also, if you are not a dog person then this place is definitely not for you, although we thought that they were a nice addition to the family!
All in all had a very pleasant stay and if we were traveling to Devon again then we would definitely consider staying here.
Nick and his family are very good hosts.Relaxed, accommodating, and animal-friendly.
The room is big, with a bed and a living room in it.
The cottage is very charming and the location is ideal for exploring Dartmoor forest. We stayed 3 nights in the May Bank Holiday weekend, and it was a very relaxing and pleasant experience. We did some horse riding in Mary Tavy, and did the circular walk on Lydford Gorge.
We recommend Totnes on a Saturday morning and Dartmouth afterwards, if you like driving a bit.
Definitely recommend it.
My husband Mark & I had a wonderful night away from home! The room was delightful, very tastefully decorated & very clean. The land around Nick & Judy's stunningly beautiful country house full of magic. Tasty breakfast!
Nick & Judy are very warm hearted, considerate & helpful & did everything to make our stay special! Thank you so much!

About the Host, Nick
I am a designer and communications person, I work from home and in London, my wife Judy runs our property. We have two teenage children, Hattie & Donald. On our small organic holding we have horses, ponies, sheep and lots of dogs and cats. We like to live a pretty simple life and enjoy meeting new people from around the world.
We enjoy having guests who appreciate nature and will enjoy the laid back (and somewhat) messy home we live in.
We've really enjoyed being Airbnb hosts - all the guests we've had have been very friendly and a pleasure to have with us.
