The Space

The place:
The flat is situated in one of the most caracteristic streets of Rome, Via dei Coronari, between Piazza Navona and Corso Vittorio Emanuele, well known as “the street of antiquari” because the presence of many antique shops. Today is one of the most elegant streets of Rome, caracterized from XVII century buildings and churches, elegant and fine shops (for example antique shops , pret-a-porter vintage, etnic style, biologic food, Eastern art, Oriental carpet, bonsai ). The street is a pedestrian street.

The Flat:
The flat is in a XVII century elegant and silent small building, at the second floor.
The flat, recently fully renovated, retain the antique charme: wooden coffered ceiling and the interior design is a mix between classic and modernity: above all "liberty style". There are lots of fine wooden furniture (some of which are carved by a famous Venetian cabinetmaker).
The house is silent and cool, the windows of the living room opens on Via dei Coronari and in the bedroom opens onto a courtyard very quiet and sunny. There are all comforts you need (microwave oven, washing machine, phon, TV sat 21'', stereo player, warming sistem, internet wi-fi etc.).
The space is composed from two principal rooms, the living and dining room (kitchenette, dining table) and the sleeping area with double bed and bathroom (bathtub).
In the living room there is a sofa bed and a loft with a Japanese futon . You can choose the most convenient solution to your needs.

Airport : There is a bus to Fiumicino airport from Corso Vittorio Emanuele (200 mt.).
Citybus and taxi : from Corso Vittorio Emanuale and Largo Zanardelli you can find several bus lines crossing all the city center and a taxi station (Largo Zanardelli). The best way to explore the center of Rome is the bus, because the subway does not cross the center directly
By feet : the flat is in the heart of historical city center so you can easly walk toward all tourist destinations: for example Piazza Navona 500 mt., Castel St. Angelo 300 mt.; Piazza St. Pietro 1000 mt.; Pantheon 900 mt; Piazza Campo de’ Fiori 850 mt; Piazza di Spagna 1,5 Km; Trastevere 1,3 Km.

  • This is the perfect apartment for a Roman holiday. Via dei Coronari is one of the most beautiful walking streets in all of Rome, and this apartment has a view of a lovely piazza from the window, and one of the best ice cream shops, Gelateria del Teatro, just a short walk away. One night we watched fireworks over Castel Sant'Angelo, which is about a 3 minute walk from the apartment, for Festa di Pietro and Paolo. It was magnificent.
Ambrogio was easily reached at all times, responded quickly to our questions, and was on time giving us the keys. The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photos, very simply and elegantly furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we did cook at home a few times during our stay. Our son stayed in the loft and found it very comfortable, even though it was very hot in Rome during our stay.
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to feel truly at home in Rome in a very beautiful neighborhood.

  • Fast response. Helped with booking taxi for the last day to catch an early bus. Place looked like the photos with 2 separate beds- one in the bedroom and the other loof. Location of the place is very good and walking distance to major Rome attractions.

  • This apartment is amazing-- it is even nicer than the photos. The place is big, clean, airy, beautiful, and centrally located. Also, the bed is very comfortable and big, and the bathroom is spacious. It is in a lovely part of Rome, but it's also very quiet at night. It is perfect. And Ambrogio is amazing. He is very helpful (he responded to my emails within minutes and always was ready to help) and kind. I cannot wait to return to this beautiful home!

  • Location of this flat is absolutely perfect! There were three friends sharing the space and there was more than enough space for us. From the flat you can walk everywhere and there are tons of little cafe and restaurants close by. The host met us in front of the flat, which was great, and kept in touch during our stay. There is no elevator so be prepared to carry your suitcases up a few flights, but that is typical in European buildings. Overall, I would suggest the flat for anyone who wants to be in walking distance of all major attractions

  • We stayed here for 10 days. The neighborhood is lovely, and the front window is a great view on the activity of the small square. Ambrogio is a helpful and charming host. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, and lovely.

  • Fantastic place to explore Rome from. Everything in the apartment was as shown on the site. Ambrogio was very helpful and a lovely fellow.
Location, location, location, it's a perfect location. You can walk to all the main hotspots for sightseeing and in the evenings just walk out the door and you're exactly where you want to be to see the best of Rome. Fabulous restaurants minutes away from breakfast to lunch to dinner.
Highly recommend this place. We'll be back.

  • We loved our stay at Ambrogio's beautiful apartment. It was roomier than expected and quite charming! It is right above Via de Coronari which is one of the loveliest cobblestone streets. We did not meet Ambrogio but his mother let us in and explained how to use everything. We never turned on the heat, but didn't need to and were quite cozy and warm at night. The only problem we had while there was getting bit by some random mosquitoes that must have somehow gotten into the apartment. It is close to everything and we walked everywhere. The Piazza Navone, the Spanish Steps, Coliseum, Pantheon, even the (email hidden) was a perfect location. My daughter and I loved it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Roma!.

My name is Ambrogio. I live in Rome but I have a farm in south of Italy (Calabria); for this reason I rent my flat in Rome when I am away from home.
